Not surprising... I get the impression from many Freepers’ posts that they’d rather have Romney as president, or even see Obama re-elected, over Perry.
Perplexing.
And sickening.
Who did they poll? Occupy Wall Street? Occupy LA?
Who did they poll? Occupy Wall Street? Occupy LA?
He has been weighed, measured and found wanting.
49 percent? No way Obama polls 49 percent, even among “all adults,” let alone “registered voters” or “likely voters.” Not even against a can of deviled ham.
Mitt Romney polls even with Obama the best of the Republican presidential candidates.
Tells you a lot about the Business Insider source.
The problem with any national poll in a state-by-state electoral system is that they are meaningless even the day before the election, but they are exponentially more meaningless a year before any election and any campaign.
That also applies to any other Republican candidate against Obama.
I haven't read or heard a reasonable explanation why it would.
Either way, you could put an actual natural born citizen Elephant as the GOP candidate and it will win the 2012 election.
“now trailing President Barack Obama in a head-to-head matchup 49 percent to 35 percent.”
How does that square with polls showing that only 30% of Americans will definetely vote for obuma?
The BS is strong in this one, Skywalker.
I trust Rasmussen, but it just shows how fickle and shallow people are.
Perry has two large obstacles to overcome, one is the media which has been constantly putting him down, and the other is FR.
I believe him to be a strong conservative and a good candidate.
Just saw a poll showing Romney, Cain and Perry all beating Obama.
If people would reelect Obama, there are no words.
That’s the Left’s desired image: “Evangelical Gun Nut.” Now, can he overcome it?
I say they must be smoking some good weed down in Texas because quite frankly, I have been rather underwhelmed by this guy. He makes GWB sound like a statesman. Empty suit. Mike Dukakis hair. Whenever I see him at one of those debates, he's got that deer-in-the-headlights look.
So far, he hasn't given me any indication whatsoever that he will advance the conservative cause if he is elected. With respect to his record in Texas, it appears he inherited a good situation but has not done anything to improve upon it. If anybody wants to give me examples of Rick Perry being a conservative down in Texas, I'd be happy to read about them. He certainly hasn't shown any conservative inclinations in those silly debates we've had so far.
With respect to his performance in last night's debate, I'll quote a local Boston talk radio show host..."He (Perry) was so stiff, he looked like he was on loan from Madame Tussaud's wax museum."
I am getting the same sickening feeling about Rick Perry that I had about John McCain four years ago. I'm concerned that if we nominate another stuffed shirt like him, we are going to once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Let me ask you a question. If you, the media, many on the right, and Perry opponents believe that his campaign is dead and he is finished why are you still obsessed about him 24/7? You even posted this article in the breaking news section.
Rasmussen is the best pollster in the business. The fact that he’s showing this monster at 49% and ahead of every potential GOP candidate in the field should scare the hell out of every member of this forum.
The country will not survive this electorate.
