There might be a problem with a Cain/Newt ticket.
If they both still claim a Georgia residence, Georgia electors cannot cast their vote for both Cain and Gingrich as Pres/VP or vice-versa.
In a close race that might be disastrous.
If either has another “home state” like Cheney did when he ran with Bush it isn’t a problem.
Newt is a resident of Virginia, has been for several years
Newt used Georgia only as long as it fit his needs. He doesn’t live here as far as I know. He and “Callista” live near DC, I think.....
IIRC, Newt has claimed residency in McLean VA since 1999.
