I guess Reverend Jeffress forgot to take his meds.

Jeffres is a nutjob. He is as extreme to the right as Rev. Wright is to the left.
I’m done with Perry. I don’t need to put up with anymore bigots who hate Catholics.
(Got enough of them in my extended family.)

Last year, Rev. Jeffress said the Roman Catholic Church was the outgrowth of a corruption called the Babylonian mystery.
Considering that we protestants are a break away from the Catholic church...........hmmm. This guy sounds like a loon.

That kind of comparison is made in churches all the time by well-intentioned ministers. I think most Catholics, especially in the South, have learned to take it in stride, shake their heads, and smile. After all, you may be walking side by side with the same minister & his congregation in a Respect Life march the next weekend, or collaborating on a crisis pregnancy center.

What’s the big deal? All Perry has to say is “This is not the Reverend Jeffres I knew” and all will be well.

Jeffress is irrelevant.
Why is everyone making a big deal of this man, thereby trying to taint the reputation of a Republican presidential candidate?
(FWIW, seeing the Roman Catholic Church as a corruption of biblical/historical Christianity is not a “fringe” belief.)

So now that this Hee Haw has gone after Romney, perhaps he’ll grace us with his opinion on Rick Santorum, a known practitioner of the Great Babylonian Fish Cult.
This guy should be a Democrat. A jackass suits him well
