Driving The News: Fox Covering Fast & Furious 10 Times More Than MSNBC And CNN
by Colby Hall | 11:27 am, October 11th, 2011
The Fast and Furious story appears to be turning a major corner with the news that Congressional investigators, led by Rep. Darrell Issa, are sending a new subpoena to Attorney General Eric Holder over the DOJs failed gun running operation. The subpoenaing of the head of the Department of Justice is big news, but it seems that only viewers of Fox News channel are hearing much about it and boy are they ever: a simple search of a television transcript database indicates that FNC has covered this story ten times more than its cable news competitors, MSNBC and CNN.
According to TV Eyes, the phrase Fast and Furious has been mentioned a sum total of 550 times in the last three months. The same search for CNN reveals 93 mentions, while the phrase has been stated on MSNBC a paltry 29 times. In full disclosure, the method for this research relies on sometimes rough transcripts, and makes no distinction on context; it is entirely possible that Fox News decided to promote the hell out of the latest in the Fast and Furious film franchise, but thats almost certainly not the case.

Is the author trying to say that Fox has spent too much time on Fast and Furious? Or that the others have not spent enough.
It is pretty obvious that fast & Furious is a major story and the others have ignored it.
This story goes to the White House and Obama’s impeachment, though truly it should go to Obama’s being in prison as an accessory to over 200 murders.

Tyrants Gun-Walker AG:
This matters not.
On the morrow, FOX will be audited.
The other channels will join GE
and will NOW be free of taxes."
CNN is blaring in the break room daily (I think it’s to keep people from taking long breaks), and as far as I have seen Wolfie and the leftwing moonbat wolfpack haven’t said much about fast and furious. Apparently the moonbats don’t believe anything if it’s not on their CNN. CNN has to be the worst channel on TV, nothing but propaganda
He gave a very disgusted, curt answer and turned and walked away very fast.
I don’t like this Iran thing. Judge Napolitano read the full complaint and it seems this guy has been in custody since September. He is an American citizen with an iranian passport. The judge said that the FBI saw him as vulnerable and lured him in and that this was a complete setup from the gitgo. MUCH more on this later.
The judge is questioning the timing of this ‘announcement’ as well.
It stinks, not to mention it is extremely, extremely dangerous.
They've been reporting the really important stuff -
SOMEONE has to. This is the biggest scandal of our time. No way should the Chief Justice official have any place near the law. They broke it and many people are dead. It’s a crime. I am hoping the subpoenas come out today, not Friday. Maybe that will get the msm attention...when they’re not doing wall to wall on otc events.
More wagging the dog. Put that aside and there you have another comparison to the Carter adminstration. Iran takes hostages and Carter does nothing. Iran plots an attack on American soil in 0bama’s administration ...and they are quick to reach out....and do nothing re: state sponsored terrorism. Their capabilities must be flattened.
He’ll have leftie lawyers lining up to defend him and the trial will be a travesty of justice. Meanwhile, Iran’s nuclear program goes unchecked. Tick tock.
Agreed, but once there is enough blood in the water, even the liberal sharks will begin circling. "Fast and Furious" reeks of criminal activities.

Nobody was murdered over Watergate.
It's a disgrace that the MSM has been covering up Fast and Furious, a scandal a thousand times worse than Watergate, with a body count of 200+ and climbing.
LOL. Like it.
I’ve talked to a lot of people over the past couple of weeks and I’d say only 5 or 6 people have actually heard the details about this fast and furious.
Seems our biased media is doing their job for their messiah.
The great irony is the Iranian terrorism was coming via Mexico and the Zetas.
They thought they could do the same with Kerry and the Swiftboat deal. They blockaded the news for months, but in hte end, were forced to cover it.
Travis, s G-d is my Witmess, when I listened to holder’s presser yesterday, it made me sick to my stomach. They named every agency that was involved in this so-called take-down and it was a mirror image of thoe that were involved in Fast and Furious...including the state department.
They even set up a phony connection to the zeta cartel, and used a FBI fop to pretend he was the cartel. The FBI transferred funds to this guy.
NOWHERE, NOWHERE do they prove an iranian connection to this.
It looks to me as though this is designd specifically to showcase these agencies as the ultimate good guys, while not giving ANY thought whatsoever to the repercussions it might cause in the ME, or else they WANT thse repercussions because the war that could ensue is almost Armageddon-like.
This is the most insanely corrupt administration on the face of the earth ever. Comparing this to a hitlerian scenario is becing too kind.
What they ALSO inadvertantly did was to credit the WH, which tells me that obama was up to his ears in F&F. AND that this admin would risk the entire ME to save his ass.
A war of this magnitude would completely destroy the whole rest of the world one way or another.
Totally agree. It almost appeared that he list of particulars at yesterday’s presser was designed to deflect off Fast and Furious. “We can’t talk about that minor F+F side show. It was just a part of a gigantic covert operation to catch the Evil Iranian Superterrorists.”
Mike V. is all over Hillary on this. As Sec State she us up to her eyeballs in F+F, and she kept her American officials in Mexico completely in the dark. They had a lot of nerve accusing Iran of an “act of war” (potential) compared to the actual act of war which was F+F.
