Friends and fellow citizens,

If you'd be so kind as to give your honest assesment of the candidates tonight including who you can support and whom you cannot.

Please chime in. It'd be helpful to know what you all are thinking right about now. Kate

Actors, bad ones, hams, declaiming stiffly their memorized monologues. Yawn!

In fact, with such perfomances, one sympathizes with the weak one, where the performer looks real, and such was Perry.

“If we can get 60 in the Senate and keep the house, it really doesn’t matter who is in the White House.”

I was thinking along those lines myself. Maybe that would be enough to keep Newt in check if he were to be President.

Any of these candidates will be a better POTUS than the Marxist/Socialist who currently holds the office. Please, do not hunker down for your favorite candidate and get STUPID written on your forehead. The only hope we have for smaller government, lower taxes and more personal accountability is to oust the current regime. Do not lose sight of this.

“Once again.... Palin won this debate hands down.”

LOL! Thanks. I needed that! :)

” Actors, bad ones, hams, declaiming stiffly their memorized monologues. Yawn! “

That was my impression ; and it was the first debate I saw ( being in Japan ) . Obama must be licking his chops .

Santorum - can’t get past his sneer

I KNOW!!!! Also how he SMIRKS when listening to someone respond to a question. He seems to stare like he can’t see or something. Seems to me on other shows over the years he has used reading glasses. Maybe he decided not to wear his glasses and has a hard time seeing or maybe he has contacts or maybe none of the above but like you....he DOES have a sneer and can’t take him seriously at all.

Newt was made of awesome, Romney is a political weathervane but a great debater, Perry is a solid governor but a terrible debater, Cain is a one trick pony but is a solid conservative, the rest were painful. We have three options. Elect Newt, draft someone else, or kiss the Republic goodbye.

Roger that. A clone of Hitler could take the White House and it we have the Hill it won’t matter.

Oh wait!!

And a few more good guys in the House would help.

Is it me, or does it seem the group did better as a whole when they all thought Palin might be entering the ring?

“Any of these candidates will be a better POTUS than the Marxist/Socialist who currently holds the office.”

Yes ma’am Judy. Indeed getting Obama out and having nobody at the helm would be an improvement. On the plus side also...SCOTUS will soon rule on Obamacare. I’d be shocked if it is not ruled unconstitutional.

“If Romney is our nominee, once people tune in and listen to him, we are SCREWED. He is the quintessential, “ya gotta check to see if you still have your wallet” thing after he speaks. He is King of the Slimeballs.”

Or Queen.

Or Jester.

Or Bishop.

Or Catamite.

Hey! Whatever you want him to be, he will be - as long as he is talking to you.

Cain blew it with his 999. They hammered him wit giving the feds another way to tax us. National sales tax is a no go. His answer on the fed was WEAK....

Did any one of them answer any of the direct questions? And some were very direct and very clear. How do these politicians do that? I couldn’t get away with it at my job or at home.

If that’s the criteria to judge them, then pox on all their houses. Though, Ron Paul and Newt deserve credit for being the most responsive.

I really don’t think Newt can win the GOP nomination, nor do I think he’d beat Obama if he did.

I think Romney, Perry, and Cain are the three with a realistic chance to win the GOP nomination, and I think any one of them can beat Obama.

I saw a different debate than a lot of posters here saw.

I think any candidate at that debate tonight would be a lot better than what we have now.

I think every candidate there loves this country and that none of them wants to turn the USA into a socialist hell-hole.

I think any of these candidates would be able to pick good Supreme Court Justices.

I think that whichever one of these people is the Republican nominee for president will be thousands of times better than what we have now.

Anyone who does not vote for the Republican nominee is voting for another 4 years of Obama, IMHO...

Cain displayed his Hufflepuff colors.
His Greenspan comment was horrible. Otherwise he was good.

Mitt reminds me of Guy Smiley.
Perry seemed like his five hour energy kicked in halfway through. Then he did great then.
Michelle, goodness. She looked lovely but always comes off like she is in the middle of a cat fight. She has some great points.
I adore Rick Santorum but he needs to stick to subbing for Bill Bennett. He’s brilliant at it.
Paul’s eyebrow was falling off so I missed most of what he said.
NEWT!!!! Brilliant!!! Too bad he is an establishment GOP guy.

And that other dude, Ugh. He’s like a Lego Minifig. You can get the idea of who he is supposed to be but he is still plastic and small.

Newt was great but his days are long past.
Santorum was good but his days are also over with too.
Perry did okay and his campaign presses forward.
Bachmann was okay but her best days seem to be over with.
Cain seemed defensive and still has a lot to prove.
Romney was talky and still a fraud & phony.
Paul was Paul and that is all.
Huntsman, who cares.

The only two candidates I'd never consider voting for are Romney and Paul. The scumbag and the kook.

A clone of Hitler

Careful there with those inflammatory references, or you'll soon be begging people to download your song off the Net like Hank Jr has been doing the past two days.
