Say what you will about the tea party -- and I've said plenty -- they did have an effect on elections.
The question now is, can the Occupy Wall Street folks have the same effect?
We've seen the protests the past weeks, although they seem more splintered than anything else. They are outraged about foreclosure fraud, joblessness, student loan availability, wealth imbalance, the federal debt, the fate of the middle class, you name it.

At least I embrace warmly the fact that I am at times a remarkable dufus. And an opinionated sphincter. At times. I actually (according to the wife) frequently wake up laughing, emoting sincere, mirthful joy that I get to be me for a whole 'nother day.
