Sarah Palin will not run for president. She made the announcement in a letter to supporters Wednesday night.
Read Palins letter here:
October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.
My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office from the nations governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the fundamental transformation of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law....

Perry is done.
Cain is the guy who can do this wo alienating more people.
HOLD THE HOUSE !
TAKE THE SENATE !
TAKE THE WH !
She’s not done yet truman! ....just because she’s not going to run doesn’t mean she finished impacting this election..this country and the people.
How many times did she say we don’t need a title to be effective...and for years she has not had the title we wanted for her but she sure had a title in the hearts and minds of all America....and that’s not over yet either.
But I do share the disappointment many are feeling now...and this too shall pass......

heck no! That fool man couldn’t take Sarah out, I think she is doing what is best for her family. I respect that.
That is another thing I totally disrespect in Obama, making his young daughters grow up this way. JMO
actually,
I’ve been here longer than 7 years, actually.
‘
palin, 1st choice;
cain, 2nd choice;
pery, 3rd choice;
So- you want to give this country back to Obama for 4 more years( if not more)?
Methinks this Palin Worship has gone too far.
“Ok Palin fans - who do you support now?”
The most conservative candidate in the primaries and the winner of the primaries in the General.
Same if Palin was running.
The good news is maybe we can ALL reside in reality now, and face the actual field without waiting for the Great Pumpkin.
THIS IS THE GOP FIELD. TIME TO GET SERIOUS.
Melodrama much??
I guess I will just go hang myself in the barn now... Nothing else to live for.
Why not come out for Cain?
Not me....and not a good idea to play the medias roll by trying to say who Palin supporters will support now...sheesh!
I think that rather than launching a civil war, she will probably work to make sure that Obama is ejected from the White House.
I’ve felt all along that this would be the decision she would make. I’m glad to hear her say that she and her husband have been praying and weighing, and that her family comes first. She has a young family. She knows her priorities: God first, then husband, then family, then others. For the believer in Christ, the battles begin in prayer and continue in prayer and are accompanied by obedience to His Words.
God will continue to use her; she has encouraged many (including some of those media folk)to speak out and stand up for what is truthful and right.
don’t stay home, just leave the president space blank and go conservative down ballot.
I’m not a hater, 2DV. I have given a good amount of money (for me) to SarahPAC...but I just figured she didn’t NEED the hassle of running for President now.
She has a great gig going—and she could very well be a power broker and spokesperson for the conservative cause for YEARS to come.
I am not with the FREEPers who say, “X or no one—I will never vote for that RINO ‘Y’!” My goal is to defeat Hussein in 2012, and I am CERTAIN that will be Sarah’s goal, too.
We’ve got to work to accomplish that worthy goal.
Maybe we ought to give an extra $10 (or whatever you can afford) to SarahPAC and perhaps one of the remaining Republican candidates....just to show solidarity. :)

Back in 2008 when McCain selected Sarah Palin as his running mate, my biggest fear was that it was too soon to push her on the national stage, that he would waste her as an asset to his losing campaign and undermine her future potential as a leading contender for the nomination in 2012.
And that’s exactly what happened.
You and others need to back off for crying out loud! Get the whole picture before you come knocking at the door like vultures ready to come in for the kill..
It’s possible the Nat’l Enquirer stories have some merit. It would explain everything.

The past year? Many of us have known this since July 2009. Once she quit she was toast for any POTUS run. I don't believe that she didn't realize that or have people whom she trusted telling her that.
