Take it for what you will...posted on Mark's page just now: BREAKING: GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN TELLS MARK LEVIN SHE IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012.
The country is bigger than any one person. It's been built with the toil and blood of millions of patriots. It will endure. Was this not the point the Father of our Country tried to teach us by his example?
>> “You werent going to vote for her anyway...” <<
.
Are you a complete idiot?
Well, I don’t want to be doing any nay-saying on this sad day for others here on the forum. She may help others running, I just never was enamored like so many here.
I actually feel sorry for whoever is the next President, they are going to have a horrific job trying to undo what’s been done and they will be ridiculed and ranted at over every little thing. Palin is better off not dealing with all that. Could you ever picture Todd sitting around in the White House? I never could see him being happy there.
There wasn't a conservative candidate against a conservative candidate vetting that would have occurred during the primaries had she declared, but when you have major newspapers soliciting the public to help sift through years of your emails at the same time a muckraking author moves next door, one simply can't suggest that Cain has experienced that level of scrutiny.
Good post. It may just turn out she weilds more influence right where she is. The worst that could have happened was she ran and lost, imo.
BUMP. YOURS AND MINE BOTH.
Unlike you I still care about 2012. But you are right about the current crop of Republican candidates. They aren't very good.
About Palin, she waited way too long to say "no".
“The hypocrisy is never ending! They joined Palin in assuring Perry went down and Romney was elevated”
some had this cynical strategy of destroy all candidates so that Palin would just swoop down over the rubble and win it all. Instead, we just have a big pile of rubble and no Palin.
>>Apparently you missed the numerous threads where anyone who wasnt wholly behind Gov. Palin was labeled, among other things: homosexual, PDSer, concerned, troll, RINO, DUer, RomneyBot, supporter of the Huckster, Democrat, liberal, etc.
This is a significant development at FR not only because many people have been waiting for Gov. Palin to announce her candidacy, but because a subset of those same FReepers were downright nasty to anyone who didnt agree with them. Not only were they nasty, after they ganged up on fellow Freepers and drug them through the dirt, theyd then celebrate on the thread giving, as one FReeper put it, high-fives. For me, the whole Palin candidacy question has been a real eye opener. And not in a good way.<<
I agree 1000% — I was one of those who, just because I DARED say Gov. Palin wouldn’t run, I was called every name in the book, including many that aren’t even supposed to be allowed. (btw the thing you addressed in your post is one of the most hateful of the bunch).
To those people, I say the following: I *WAS* the voice in the wilderness. My analyses *WERE* correct.
And, to be frank, my FRiend (I see you were also the subject to spittle-flecked hate and vitriol), my immediate reaction this evening on hearing the news (on Hannity) wasn’t the implication to the USA. It was a deep sense of vindication to the goons and buffoons who quoted Sun Tzu (and lieingly claimed to have read his works) every time someone stated the obvious: she wasn’t going to run and her delay in saying so was not a good thing.
So you palinstas can KMA while you are dining on crow. As 4P pointed out, you contributed to the darkest and most dismal times in FR history. Your hate was only surpassed by your denial and complete lack of decorum.
You people owe me and folks like 4P — and payment will be extracted. Revenge is sweet but payback is...well you know.
(again, 4P, this is directed at the hateful crowd, not you).
Nah, I wanted her to run. She electrifies the crowds and draws fire; she gets loads of press...good or bad, it takes it away from Barak-O. They always say bad publicity is better than NO publicity.
Don’t shoot those on your side, friend. We have to win this fight together. Either we all hang together, or we shall surely hang separately.
Does this mean Pissant gets un-banned?
I can tell you didn’t read all of those words as that is not what i said at all.
I am sensing that there is more to Palin’s decision as well...I hope she’s not sick i.e. cancer, even a month ago with Iowa Passion video, she seemed so much more energetic and upbeat. She has looked tired lately.
I don’t know how long ago she decided.
Don't hold your breath. Many will hate you even more for having been right. Some people react very badly when they are forced to admit they've misjudged a person or situation so incredibly badly.
But your very reply was a clear example.
>>Get over yourself. <<
I think the level of irony from you palinestas has exceed that the human body can absorb by many levels of magnitude.
Yes, it certainly does. I was not aware of that quote. I wonder how Cain would spin this one?
