She’s the one who had to deal with the ethics complaints. She’s the one who had to deal with the hackers. She’s the one who had to deal with lawyers because of that mcginnis book with all the disgusting stuff in it. Astute post....we have a winner. This confirms my gut feeling that I had back in 2008 that Obama is a two termer. I will confess, I had thought, off and on, that Palin would get in.
With her now out of the equation, this clears it for Romney. Romney will be the GOP standard bearer, which will dishearten the GOP base, thus Obama wins. Classic chess.
This is just my prediction. But now it all fell into place with a neat little click.

This is not a hostile comment, but I have never understood the Sarah bandwagon. She is bright, articulate, passionate in her views and attractive, but short on real experience. We criticize Obama for many of these same things. She doesn’t bring much in the way of balance to the ticket as a VP candidate either. However she can be a positive force for the conservative cause by virtue of her high profile and that may be where she can do the most for her country.
Nothing is wrong with her. She has no interest in running for President. I have been saying that since 2009. What is wrong with all these FReepers who just knew she was running?

Cain, Cain, he’s my man. I think Cain will pick up most of the Palin support and I hope she comes out strongly in support of him. Maybe she has decided to not run is because she sees him as the one who can carry the conservative banner.

You are right. I maintained for a long time that a lot of people are easily distracted by the new shiny toy.
I wish her well and believe from listening to her that she was sad. I know Mark was.
I don’t know who I will support at this point, but I know who I won’t. Anyone that supports a candidate that is on this thread with their nasty “I told you so” comments, that candidate I won’t support.
The way this disaster of a decision was handled, I doubt she'll endorse anyone in the primaries.

What nonsense (from her). It's the exact same campaign as Haley Barbour, Mitch Daniels, Chris Christie...
But, people should have seen it coming. This isn't an election for dog catcher. The primaries are three months away and she had no organization. How could she hope to compete? It was delusional. Not unlike the guy that said Santorum is or would be among the top tier of those running. Seriously? What sort of delusion is this?
