There is something about my posting style that seems to bring out the worst in some. I guess it is a combination of me being caustic and these people can see just how ghastly I look. My wife isn’t a saint just for being saintly. She looks me in my ugly mug daily and professes her love for me and kisses me to boot!
I can only think of 1 or 2 posters who went beyond all reasonable bounds or propriety who I will have a problem forgiving.
But now we all need each other more than ever. One term of barry the zero can be fixed in 4 to 6 years. 2 terms will take 2+ generations to fix (look at how we are paying for FDRs communism and lies to this date!)
Please help me with those I need help helping, M33! :)

Well, I said I’d do it if Palin didn’t run and that day has arrived. All the naysayers were right and I was WRONG. Totally, completely, 100% grade A wrong. I either misread the whole shebang from the word go or something changed along the way. Doesn’t matter either way, the end result is the same. Serve up the crow PDS posse, I is a hungry little boy!
Of course what exactly have you won? 1000+ posts into this thread, most of the PDSers came out and took their shots (as if months of shots already taken weren’t enough to sate them. And Carling, as is his want, even continues tweaking JR.
I really shouldn’t be surprised because the PDS crew is now claiming that Palin’s defenders abused them terribly. Boo freaking hoo.
As as my wont, I recommend readers of this thread go back through their posts, view their past comments on SP and her supporters, and see for themselves just how ‘innocent’ the victims really are.
That said, I have greatly enjoyed fighting the good fight alongside many of you. Windflier, Lakeshark, Little Jeremiah, The Old Lady, Glock Rocks, Gov Bean Counter, Springfeild Reformer, Onyx and many others. You are all very good people who unlike an unfortunately large number on FR, believe in the things you say and believe in what conservatism and America should be.
As for myself, I have no intention of removing the “Cult of Palin” tagline from my sig. I have said in prior posts that if the day came she chose not to run, life would go on and I will support the next best candidate. Right now that appears to be Cain.
That said, I think Palin will continue to play an important role doing the very things she has been because she does inspire people and most importantly to me, stands for the things I believe in. While I wish she was going to stand for them in the Oval office, I accept that it won’t be happening so I will continue to support her in the ways she chooses to do so.
Lastly, as a couple of you know, I began posting on FR again after a long absence for one reason. I was sick to death of Pissant and his/others BS attacks on Palin. We all have our own ‘pet projects’. This is mine. Unfortunately FR is still filled with cheap shot artists who spout liberal talking points in attacking her as easily as they draw breath. Now that she has officially stated she will not run, and as this thread shows, PDS is alive and well.
Since Palin is going to be on the political scene indefinitely, I’m sure her detractors on FR will be ankle-biting her with renewed fervor for some time to come.

That was a good post. I will never understand why so many in our party didn’t do enough to defend her. It is sort of like the Neville Chamberlain thing. Feed the lion and hope he is not hungry enough to come after another conservative leader.

I saw your vanity before it was pulled. You were very naivete in falling for a person/human as a Savior as if she was more than that. She had her own agenda and many many others saw it and tried to warn you and others.
You can learn from this while your are young. I like you and always liked you because you are honest. Learn to question everything anyone you have never met says.

My life is pretty tranquil right now. I will know what it is like to be a father to teenagers daughters just over 10 years from now when my twins turn 13 and then 14, 15, 16 and on and on. I am not expecting it to be easy. I am sure Palin tried her very best. I am sure she is a good mom.
I am worried that we are giving the liberals a blue print on how to destroy a conservative, just go after their family ?

If you're a real supporter of Sarah Palin, and not a fan of an idol you're projecting from your mind, and if you really love your country, you'll respect her decision and heed her admonition to unite with others to restore it. All you've done since her announcement is bad-mouth her and project astonishingly juvenile thought processes onto these pages. You've thrown a day-long hissy fit. It's behavior unworthy of conservatism.
She's not running. You have to get over it and unite with other conservatives to defeat Obama. The Supreme Court, socialized medicine and the economy are in play.

I pray we can choose a good candidate to defeat Obama and bring more conservative Senators along with him..

I don’t mean to come across that way. I don’t see any of the current candidates that I can support with the same level of energy at the moment. Maybe someone else can still get in. If there were a better candidate on the stage right now, it would have been much easier on Palin supporters today...

She is. But this country is very focused on image and she fit a picture that doesn’t look very professional. It’s hard to take someone seriously if she doesn’t look professional even if she is 100% spot on.
The thing that bothers me is that she used to look professional before she was McCain’s running mate but she decided she’d rather act the part of a redneck mom and the other events in her life seemed to reinforce that image.
