Coincidentally, on the day New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie held a formal press conference to again announce that he would not officially enter the presidential contest, DVDs of a documentary titled The Undefeated, an independent film about former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palins record of reform in taking on the crony capitalists and the political establishment in Alaska, went on sale at Walmart stores and online outlets such as Amazon.com.
A new national CBS poll, has Herman Cain tied with Mitt Romney with 17% of the vote. What may be more striking though, is that 18% of those polled were still undecided, a greater percentage than any candidate received.
The indecision among many Republican primary voters is a major reason supporters of Christie urged him to run, and Christie himself gave serious consideration to jumping into the race at the 11th hour, with hopes of consolidating a plurality of voters who are unhappy with the current field of candidates.
My job in New Jersey is my passion, Christie said. I'm doing the job I love, in the state I grew up in, on behalf of the toughest, greatest people in the country.
Christie would have faced organizational hurdles in addition to questions about his liberal rhetoric on immigration, climate change and Sharia law, in an election cycle in which much of the conservative base wants "authenticity" and a bold and brash candidate, said Mark McKinnon, a Republican political strategist who has worked for George W. Bush and John McCain.
There have been people passionately calling on me to consider ... a run for President, and I had to consider their advice, Christie said. Now is not my time.
So could it now be Palins time?
From now until the end of October, when candidates must meet the first official filing deadline to get on the primary ballot, the eyes of the political world will be on Palin, who, unlike other candidates who have shown a public sense of indecision, has never gone on record to say that she would not run for President.
In recent weeks, books that have sought to potentially undermine Palin have been thoroughly discredited.
For instance, Joe McGinniss, an author of an anti-Palin book, had an e-mail he wrote to a source discovered in which he wrote that a legal review of my manuscript is under way, and heres my problem: No one has ever offered documentation of any of the lurid stories about the Palins.
McGinniss shenanigans and vindictiveness are representative of the frivolous ethics charges Palin was confronted with when she came back to Alaska after the 2008 election, which The Undefeated documents.
In an unconventional cycle in which candidates have seen rapid and wild swings in their poll numbers in a matter of weeks, Palin is the only Republican figure with enough clout, name recognition and grassroots support to enter this late and be a contender.
In fact, one difference between Palin and Christie is that while the Republican and financial elite have backed Christie, Palins support comes from her fervent grassroots supporters who disdain and loathe the GOP establishment and what Palin has referred to as the permanent political class, almost as much as they love Palin. Another difference is Palins bold conservatism, as opposed to Christies more pastel brand, the formers fitting the spirit of this cycle way more than the latters.
The chattering class who gave plausible reasons for a viable Christie candidacy only laid out the arguments for why a Palin run could also succeed.
The only questions that remain are whether Palin will run and, if so or not, when will she make a formal announcement of her intentions.
Until she does, all eyes will be on Palin, and the GOP field is far from being considered set.
You don’t know anything.
That wasn’t why I asked him.
If you don’t know what I’m thinking of when I post something, then don’t assume you do and stick your nose in where it doesn’t belong and accuse me of trying to catch him “retreating” when I was doing no such thing.
And if you’re not talking about me, why the heck did you POST to me at #10?
How can that be? She isn’t a declared candidate, yet. Can you pre-fund a candidacy like that? What if she doesn’t run? Do you have to return the cash?
How would that work?
Do candidates who drop out ever return cash they’ve been donated? Or are they always in the negatives?
Ann Coulter cut her self yet?
Sniffing is all we do here, so I’ll keep my nose deployed. If I were taking note of taglines by the way it would be for a reason. I might be looking for a clue about the posters intent, or bias, or political philosphy. If I were looking, and noticed a missing tagline, and thought it was missing for a CYA reason I would ask about it... Any of this sound familiar?

To clue you in...
2nd Division Vet and I do not converse on threads. We are not friends and we don’t have commentary that we share back and forth.
I have had only one conversation with him that I remember, in all of the years I’ve been a FR member. That conversation involved his tagline. It was in the past couple of months.
In that conversation he said this... “See my tagline.”
I told him I had taken note of it.
So, at the top of the thread, here, I DIDN’T SEE HIS TAGLINE, because I had forgotten about how the software works. I had forgotten that when you post a thread, it is omitted from the first comment.
When I didn’t see his tagline there, I thought he’d removed it. I thought this meant he was changing it to something new.
I had no idea what he would put there next, something different like a quote or an update or something. I had no idea.
So, instead of wondering and thinking, “Ah-ha! He doesn’t support her anymore! He doesn’t like Sarah Palin!” -An absolutely silly idea that is not supported by anything that I know about him, I thought, “I know he supports Palin. I know that it is almost mid-October and that she was in the news today. I doubt he has dropped his desire to want to get 2 million in contributions for her campaign, if she runs.”
And then I thought... “I’ll just ask him, and then I won’t have to wonder about his tagline.”
MYSTERY SOLVED, FOR YOU!
You can go to sleep now and rest easy. ;)
I will say this, though. You’re looking for something in my posts here? You don’t like my explanations about why I asked him about his tagline? I really think you’re making a mountain out of a molehill.
Do you think you’re going to divine something fascinating out of this subject like who I’m going to vote for next November?
We don’t even know who the entire field of candidates are, yet. We don’t know the dates of the primaries. That is a big one, because I need to know when I can vote in the primary. So, get back to me before Georgia’s primary and we can talk about the candidates more, then, okay?
Next question.
He could run one of the ‘rat senators out of town in the near future though..
You have this quote on your About Me page:
EVERY TIME PALIN SAYS ‘HI’ TO THE MAILMAN DOES NOT HAVE TO BE BREAKING NEWS. CAN’T YOU PEOPLE JUST HAVE WORSHIP SERVICES TWICE A WEEK LIKE MOST RELIGIONS?
My goodness, the faithful are getting nervous about heretics.
So Long Christie. Come on Sarah,THE COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! Palin/CAIN!!!!!!!!!!!
Omg thats so funny. Cruel but funny.
^^^^^^THIS!
It's three months until the first primary. If she announces today how is Palin going to set up a national organization with sufficient resources to combat the massive laimstream media attacks she is going to get in just three months? Logistics is what makes or breaks most organizations......
I like Palin and think she is the most conservative of the pack.
But is she really electable at this point?
The leftist aholes have been attacking her for over three years. Yeah, it sucks and it has been completely unfair and unwarranted. But can we really pretend that this strategy of personal attack that they’ve been employing for 80 years is not successful?
I’ve been flamed before for saying this, but I’ll say it again.
I think the economic situation is irreversible at this point. Oh, it could be fixed, if Americans were not so dumbed-down and spoiled rotten. But the majority are. And the “austerity” it would take to fix the economy would take about ten years to undo all that the left has done, and I don’t think Americans have the stomach for it.
So I think it may be best to keep the majority in one house, let them keep the White House, block whatever horribly destructive bills the left passes to minimize the damage, and allow the economy to continue to implode on their watch.
If we win and try to fix the economic situation, they will ensure that it does not succeed and then will blame the failure on us and our ideology. That’s the reality.
If someone can convince me that the economic situation can be fixed in four years, please convince me. I’d love to be convinced. I’ve been studying the macro-economic situation intently for five years now and don’t believe that it can be in a practical sense. Yes, it can be in theory. But in reality I think many Americans would have no problem giving up their freedom and sovereignty for the false promise of economic stability under a global currency and an economy centrally planned at the global level.
i think a combination of cuts in govt spending, decreased regulation, entitelent reform, expansion of energy production will create a much more robust economy that will get us out of this hole quicker than 10 years.
Zero will not be re-elected. Palin will run against crony capitalism, as well as on her common sense platform of energy production, economy, and security, will attract independents and democrats. She is actually well-positioned to pull this off. She needs to stay on message, be very prepared for debates, and stay positive, using friendly sarcasm on Zero and his policies, and be relentlessly anti-Obozo.
Yes... Did you check to see who the quote was FROM?
All the other wannabe’s have to have paid staff to do these things. Palin does not, we will do it for her for free while at the same time donating and filling her coffers with $.
He who jumps shark gets eaten by shark behind shark.
