The rock is not the thing that bothers me about Perry. Not at all.
It’s the fact he said WE are heartless racists that bothers me most.

A racist rock. That’s precious.

Mitt Romney, Perrys chief rival in the GOP race, said Monday in a cable news interview that he found the term offensive and thought most people view the term as such. Then, Romney suggested that the matter should be taken up with Perry. The despicable super liberal Romney gave a typical disgusting response. This little POS is going to be exposed for everyone to see his super liberal record and like in 2008 he would lose the nomination. McCain finished him in 2008 with one TV ad where he exposed his flip flops on several issues and showed everyone that Romney support abortion, gun control, and gay marriage. This will be done again and in the right time.

They SHOULD give him a pass.
And then they SHOULD take after the racist media for paint all Repubs for being racists.
They need to be prepared with both barrels when they go on these shows.

The Washington Post, doing the bidding of their masters in the Demcrat high command, attempted to make the Perry family's effort to ELIMINATE an offensive word into some sort of responsibility for that word.
This is the norm for the Washington Post.
ALL Republican candidates would be on safe grounds simply responding to any story from the Washington Post by saying "That's the Post ~ find an honest source".

Hmm... so it’s a scandal that Rick Perry didn’t go back in time to the 1850’s and change the name from “niggerhead” to something palatable in the 2010’s. And it’s surprising that his “rivals” aren’t jumping all over him for something he had nothing whatsoever to do with, and his dad painted over in 1983 regardless. On a property that he didn’t even OWN. Now that’s a real scandal. That a property that Rick Perry’s dad rented (not OWNED!) had an offensive word on it that was turned over and covered for roughly 30 years.

I believe Perry was a Democrat at the time the offensive word was on the rock . . .
To: PerryBachmann2012
This is a non-story. That rock was there and painted over in 1984. This issue is 27 years old!
Geeze. Talk about digging up dirt! If it took 27 years for the paint to fade, that's some pretty good paint!
To: PerryBachmann2012
Pass? Sounds like he and his Dad did the right things about something offensive that wasn't even theirs.
If anything, the way it played out was more of an education for Cain about dealing with the msm and how much they totally suck and to a lesser degree an educational moment about an incident from Perry's past and an insight into his (and Cain's) character.
It's more of a negative for Cain than for Perry, but not a deal breaker for either.
I keep hearing that this was Cain playing the race card, but I don't see that at all. Instead, I see men with class dealing with something lacking any class whatsoever, and that includes the classless "gotcha" style journalism.

All rock has been racist, as long as I remember, starting with Bill Haley and the Comets, Dion and the Belmonts, the Beatles, the Swinging Blue Jeans, Nirvana (all white racists!), REM (ditto), shall I go on? Affirmative action in rock, is what I demand.
