But the MSM is satisfied because no matter the source or the truth of the charge, it will be a "conservative" that took out Perry.

Will Herman Cain’s Reaction To ‘N*ggerhead’ Controversy Hurt Him With Conservative Base?................... "It’s early yet, but this controversy is shaping up to be the stake through the heart of Perry’s already-troubled campaign. Even conservatives who side with Perry will likely have to concede that cutting through the thick cloud of coverage around this promises diminishing returns. What are the chances that anyone is going to come out of the woodwork to defend their trips to camp “N*ggerhead” with Rick Perry?

If Perry is, indeed, finished, then the blame for his demise falls squarely on Herman Cain’s shoulders. While the Post‘s reporting was solid, there were solid grounds for criticism, especially from a conservative base that’s already suspicious of mainstream journalism. Cain’s denunciation effectively destroyed that line of defense, and placed the story into a Republican-on-Republican frame that’s a no-win for conservatives. Allowing Perry to go down in flames will reinforce mainstream notions about conservatives and race, but so will attacking Herman Cain.".....

Perry was already done before this...

Perry toasted himself by bashing his own conservative base calling them Heartless.

To say Herman Cain is responsible for Perry’s downfall is a stretch.

Cain’s going to save the republican party and the country. Didn’t you hear? He’s the most qualified candidate we can come up with as the nominee. I guess we’re all racists because we are angry that Cain stooped to racial politics. Hell, I’d vote for Congressman Allen West in a heartbeat. He’s a war hero and a smart guy. This election should also be about having Commander-in-Chief credentials (which Rick Perry and most governors have).

Cain is dead. When someone like Christiane Amanpour is defending a Republican against the race card you know it’s over.

Cain got blown up by Wallace on the Palestinian Right of Return question weeks ago. He then comes back and blunders back into the same type situation (giving an answer in an area where he’s clearly clueless) and then compounds the problem later in the day when given the chance to redeem himself.

Cain is in the process of exposing himself. I thought it would be in the area of foreign policy (and it still may well be) but he clearly has other issues as well.

Look, it was a mistake. Cain should know that we don’t do race card politics. In my eyes he is ever so slightly diminished. Not a biggie but a mistake nevertheless.

All of this BS is just helping Romney and Obama. I like Cain, Perry and Palin. None of them are perfect but I am willing to cut them some slack. They would all do better to concentrate their criticism on Obama.

I would suggest that folks listen to what Herman Cain actually said. He was very wise to say what he said. Had he remained completely silent on the issue, it would have been devastating in the Black & other minority communities. Mr. Cain knows the issue will disappear in a few days and it will certainly not hurt Rick Perry because for any objective person of any color, Black or White, this is a non-starter, other then for the left-wing idiots!!! Herman Cain, should he ever get the Pubbie nomination for POTUS wants to win as the man for all seasons, with Whites, Blacks, Hispanics and all other minorities substantially supporting his trek to POTUS. For Mr. Cain to remain totally silent, would have tarred him with the usual Black racist rants, that he is nothing but a White man’s Uncle Tom!!! Some of you folks need to engage the brain before you pull out the shotgun!!!

We have enough serious stuff to tackle. This is not one of them. The word bothers a lot of people and that is understandable. This was a long time ago and corrected. No need to get upset about it now its over and been over for a long time. It is obvious the MSM wants to make a big deal over it.

Now changing the subject, I understand that ZERO & The MSM are attempting to make a real BIG deal about the booing of the gay soldier.
Some GOP candidates have spoken without thinking. It is my understanding the people were booing the question not the gay soldier. It is a non event. Unless we can't disagree with gay people about anything.

No matter which way the Cain supporters want to slice it, the fact is it gave the loud mouth idiot race baiters ammunition they can use against conservatives. That’s the bottom line. Cain is nothing but another race panderer and I for one am sick and tired of the “race card”. I think he did more harm to future Black candidates then Obama, in that we conservatives are all for overlooking skin color in our candidates, but Cain has proven that Black candidates, no matter what their affiliation, will always resort to skin color first and foremost. What a disappointment.

Perry committed suicide on the immigration issue..
Caine had nothing at all to do with it..
The border “magnet” issue is overriding..

Christie can cut thru the crap with the best of them.. BUT...
He is indeed a squishy liberal after all..
A “GOOD” President may NOT be electable..

That's bullsh*t. It's Perry's record and doubling down on it is what's doing him in.

Rush is talking about this now and says Herman Cain piggybacked off the WashPost story and called it a mistake on Cain’s part.

I said yesterday, Cain was using the race card, but he deserved a chance to see the error he made and to apologize for his bad judgment. Don’t know if that will happen.

The creative rationalizations for Cain continue just as they did to explain his CONTINUING support for that gigantic leap toward socialism: TARP.

That's silly.

Cain was asked his opinion. He gave it.

Note that he didn 't rake Perry over the coals--as he could have done--and as many politicians would have--he merely said it was "insensitive". That's mild.

At best it showed poor judgment. Herman Cain had an opportunity to rise above gutter politics. Unfortunately, he didn’t. It’s a lose-lose for conservatives.
