The ANC [American News Commentary] reported in its September 21, 2011 issue that the ACLU is defending the right of Muslims to exercise prayer in public schools in San Diego… Really?
Is that a change of heart or the expression of a cowardly and terrified heart? It is most likely the latter. Let me explain.
Over the last 40 years or so, the ACLU has terrified many school boards, school administrators, and school children by threatening to drag them into court if they pray in public.
A few years ago, they terrified many coaches and sporting event coordinators by warning them that if they dare pray in public, the ACLU would bring about the full weight of their false interpretation of the Establishment Clause.
For many years, they have sent their emissaries across the land, “Gestapo-like,” checking out every small city council, lest they open their meeting with prayer.
But now they are coming out of their closets and are supporting Muslim students praying in public schools.
If you think that this defies every aspect of human logic, you would be right.
Fear is a powerful factor – fear devastates logical thinking, fear decimates consistency and their support for Islamic prayer in public schools in San Diego is a clear indication of that fear. They know all too well what will happen to them if they exercise their clever maneuvers on Muslims. They will not see the love and forgiveness they have received from Christians. Rather, they will see the end of the sword.
Surprise, surprise when Kevin Keenan, the spokesperson for the ACLU in San Diego, explained his enthusiastic support for Muslims praying in public schools, he said: “Performing these prayers is widely recognized as one of the five essential pillars of Islam.” Really?
Have they not heard, do they not know that Christians and Jews are also exhorted to pray?
Have they not heard, do they not know that for Christians, prayer is a life-line to their Savior, the God of the universe?
Have they not heard, do they not know that the prophet Daniel was thrown into the den of lions because he would not stop praying to the God of Heaven?
Have they not heard, do they not know that for Christians prayer is the foremost expression of their desire to commit themselves, their schools, their sporting events, and their public meetings to the Lord God Almighty?
Can one hope that appealing to the ACLU to be fair and just and not single out Christians, who are loving and forgiving, will make a difference? Meanwhile, they cower when it comes to Muslims, who may talk with the sword.
Can one appeal to them to see the light before it is too late for them as “infidels”—the first in line to face the sword under the Sharia?
Can one appeal to them to exercise even the most basic of human logic, let alone review history and truth?
One can hope.
The whole goal of Communism is "the dictatorship of the proletariat." This means the "progressive" proletariat intends to do the exact same thing the e--vil bourgeoisie does--the very things for which the Communists attack it--but it's all right when they do it.
Or, is it possible that the “left hand” doesn’t know what the “other left hand” is doing?
Indeed.
The article gives too much credit to the ACLU for “Misinterpreting the Establishment Clause” and the subsequent appeal to reason, logic, and fairness.
The ACLU has NEVER been for Civil Liberties OR the Constitution.
It is a communist front organization that is dedicated to the breakdown of the things that Lenin said were impediments to Communism in America: Our Individuality, Our Religious Faith, and Our Morality.
There is no change of heart, strategy or fear driving this latest action. The ACLU is perfectly consistent.
It was always about weakening America.
It’s not about fear of Muslims. It’s about tearing down the US.
If the predominant religion were Islam, they’d be working just as hard to tear it down as well. As things stand today, the Muslims are an excellent foil to use to destroy Christian influence, so whatever they do is A-OK as far as the ACLU is concerned.
What the ACLU and other liberals don’t realize is if the Muslims ever take over, they’ll be the first against the wall, not the Christians.

I have posted this elsewhere, but it is so relevant to this topic, that I feel compelled to offer it here. This is a brief (6-7 min) reminder and history of the agenda of the marxist/communists to subvert America from within for over the past 50 years.
Many here are quite familiar with these points. However, your statement quoted above is absolutely addressed in this video. Truly I believe this is worth the less than 10 minutes to view it....and if you feel moved to do so, pass it on!

Is this author joking? Fear? The ACLU is an America-hating, communist/atheist organization and has been since its inception. Fear has nothing to do with anything. It’s all about tearing down traditional America and the capitalist economic system that has made America the most dominant society in human history.
All the more reason to not allow Muslim immigration.
Every single goal listed on there has been achieved. Is there any way to turn back? I fear there is not.
If I were king for a day I would have every member of the aclu executed.
We are in a world of hurt, imho, however, I do believe that there is much to hope for. We have people truly waking up to the appreciation of our Constitution. We have people beginning to smell the coffee on the liberties that have been sliced away. Never forget, American has the largest standing army on earth because of our 2nd amendment.
If the 2nd is lost, then truly all is lost, but imho, as long as we have that, the enemy will have to pay dearly. That gives them pause. I believe that there are many who are waking to this and many who have been vigilant on that front.
Above all, we have imho, an increase in people who understand that our rights are given by God and that He IS our final recourse. Our history shows it was by His guiding hand that this nation was formed and has been preserved. When any of us pray for America, I strongly believe that special prayer is heard...and it COUNTS! We must be on our knees before God and never tyrants.
I beg my compatriots to not despair at the darkness we see.

No he is not. The ACLU cowering to the demands of Muslims is cowardice, and behaving like cowards is fear

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the ground that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state.”
No. 16 is the reason the ACLU was created as a front organization for the Marxists. No 17 comes into play because the Muslims are Marxist surrogates who can get things done under the guise of religion that the Marxist would have a harder time doing otherwise. No 28 is an obvious example of Marxist in-your-face hypocrisy. Unless we yell loud enough they will get away with it.

There is no "fear" or "cowardice" if you are smiling and wringing your hands in glee at yet another chamce to poke America and Christianity in the eye. The ACLU lives for these moments. "Praying Muslims" are nothing more than the latest studio props for the ACLU and its insidious agenda. "Fear"? "Cowardice"? Heh, no.
