9-9-9 eliminates that

Riiiiiiight!!!!!

And you believe Congress would never touch the Social Security Trust Fund and the Easter Bunny delivers chocolate easter eggs.

In 50 years of Congressional finagling, you would not recognize the result Tax Code.

It only took Congress two years to begin finagling the original IRS rates.

Early IRS rates:

She's changed.

Washington does BAAAAD things to people.

If Rush Limbaugh started broadcasting out of Washington, he'd change too.

FNS

Kristol: Tea Party would vote for Cristie. Who else would they vote for? Obama? They will take Cristie and like him — just like they did John McCain in 2008.

[Kristol did use some different verbage, but I think I captured his intent. :) ]

I hope you are right John. IMHO, I don’t see any relief for any taxpayer until our side controls all three branches and the forces of big welfare are silenced.

For 70 years we have heard the same line. "We must curb spending before we do anything about taxes". That has always failed. So about this time we put the horse in front of the cart for once?

Yeah! The other line is "The government doesn't have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem."

Bravo Sierra, it DOES have a revenue problem...TOO MUCH REVENUE!

Change the code.

His obesity would be forever a distraction in any kind of political campaign

Not to defend the governor, but to paraphrase Dr. King, I have a dream that some day a man will be judged by the content of his character and not the volume of his skin.

And the color of Herman Cain's skin would probably be a distraction in any political campaign. That's not a good reason to not support Mr. Cain. And we could go through the list of people and find some distraction with each person. Still, we hopefully will select the best person to be the Republican candidate and the next American President, not the best sum of the parts.

No argument form me. I just don’t see it happening until we control all three branches. Even then we will have the rino contingent to deal with.

I suspect Linda Graham runs a close second. I’ll bet the libbies love it when a RINO spouts stuff they can agree with.

Coulter has gotten comfortable doing the GMA circuit and doesn’t want to have to defend true Conservatives. Harry Smith will accept Christie over Palin or Cain so she keeps her credentials.

Question is, who is going to read her books now?

Pray for America

The only concern we should be aware of is that we don’t choose Cain simply because of race. We have been called racists for so long we don’t want to be voting for a candidate simply because he is Black to prove we aren’t racist. That would be worse than the Obozo vote, where liberals voted from White guilt, so we don’t want to be succumbing to their thuggish tactics. This is likely not the case since Cain has some of the most Conservative thoughts of any speaker on the stage and is already getting the Clarence Thomas treatment himself for his skin.

It would have been MUCH better all these years for conservatives en masse to simply shrug off the racist accusation and ask why the accuser keeps advocating positions that have destroyed the black family, urban neigborhoods, etc.

“OK. Have it your way. I’m a racist. But YOU are the one who created the programs that resulted in a 70 percent illegitimacy rate among the black community and all the attendant problems that come with that—not me. I was against all those programs.”

I have not seen it yet. If it does CNN would probably be the place. They are more of a European net than US.

Thanks Ilandres, glad you liked it. Exactly, the internet news reporting is growing while old media is shrinking, so we can get the message out.

Interesting insight about Romney.

I don’t even know what to think about Cain. I like him a lot but he’s just entered the war zone. I wonder if the press will hold off on him like they did on Obama because he’s black. And Cain actually is black, not some weird hybrid.

Somehow I don’t think they will. So I hope nothing emerges that ruins Cain as a candidate.

I’m still hoping Sarah runs and I still like my Texas governor. He may be ruined or he may not. We’ll see.

Also, I hope we will concentrate thoroughly on continuing our 2010 victories in the House and Senate. If we can get both those bodies packed with conservatives it won’t matter quite so much about the true conservatism of the president.

Oh, it will matter. I just mean it will be a fail safe position.

Can’t hardly get on Free Republic these days. Bitterness and invective just seep from the screen into my room and make me feel bad.

It never ceases to amaze me how on MTP,Leftist extremism is portrayed as commonsense and slightly right of center RINO opinions like those that emanate from the once solidly conservative Peggy Noonan are presented as droll if misguided dissent.
