Two darlings of the Tea Party got in plenty of barbs at President Barack Obama, sitting Republicans and what they described as government over-regulation as they basked in adulation at TeaCon 2011, the first Midwestern Tea Party Convention, which drew about 1,000 people to Schaumburg this weekend.
Herman Cain, former Godfathers Pizza CEO and the only GOP presidential candidate to attend in person, won a TeaCon 2011 straw poll by a landslide Saturday evening.
His blunt comments including, Stupid people are ruining America were frequently interrupted with standing ovations at the Schaumburg Convention Center. U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) also received a heros welcome.
Cain said he would spend money to build up a strong U.S. defense; support Israel; push domestic oil drilling with an attitude adjustment for the EPA, and promote his 9-9-9 tax reform plan.
Saying I kinda like clinging to my guns and Bibles, and Im not going to let them go, Cain declared, this nation is weaker as a result of this administration.
Sorry about the double post , but I am still a bit of a Luddite with the technology. I don’t know about 98% of what This beast does.

LOL... have a wonderful night. Good night to you.
I havent been this inpsired by a candidate since I campaigned for Reagan.Yup!
No problem...they can do like Ted Baxter...just declare Cain's votes null and void...along with anyone else who may have gotten more votes than mittens.
Thank you very much; bit of retirement insomnia here, that’s why I am even here at this hour. Even the dogs had sense enough to go to bed at a decent time. So I will wish you a very good night and try hitting the rack again.
RACE CARD NULL AND VOID! Oh what will the rats do now
He may not be a former United States Marine but judging from this picture he could pass for one.
It became all too apparent that now FOX has become just another media outlet for the Permanent Political Class when BOR threw out the votes for Cain and Paul. He cited the “bots” for each campaign skewed the results so he just threw their votes out.
I do realize it was his site’s poll and not that of FOX, but he used their air time to make the stupid statement.
I was stunned he would make a statement like that openly. I uppose that all of his polls are worth nothing since he can’t figure out how to keep people from voting twice for any issue he commissions a poll for.

They will still play the race card. It’ll be twice as bad too - nothing is worse than one of “your own” joining “the enemy” and that’s how they see him.
“I uppose that all of his polls are worth nothing since he cant figure out how to keep people from voting twice for any issue he commissions a poll for.”
Is that what he was having a fit about?
I was interested in the poll, so I went back about five times over several days to check the results. Many polls won’t let you see the results unless you vote. So I was one of the people ‘voting’ more than once, but I wasn’t trying to vote. I wanted to see where things stood.
I assumed that they had it set up with cookies so they’d know who had already voted and disqualify those who did. Many online polls do.
That just makes my point. Now we know his polls are worthless beyond his just wanting to decide what it is he wants his viewers to think.
Again, I am really astonished he admitted he altered the poll, nevermind the fact that I’m sure many who voted for Mitt and Rick did the same as you so his poll is far more worthless than worthless.
This is great news.
