Two darlings of the Tea Party got in plenty of barbs at President Barack Obama, sitting Republicans and what they described as government over-regulation as they basked in adulation at TeaCon 2011, the first Midwestern Tea Party Convention, which drew about 1,000 people to Schaumburg this weekend.
Herman Cain, former Godfathers Pizza CEO and the only GOP presidential candidate to attend in person, won a TeaCon 2011 straw poll by a landslide Saturday evening.
His blunt comments including, Stupid people are ruining America were frequently interrupted with standing ovations at the Schaumburg Convention Center. U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-Ill.) also received a heros welcome.
Cain said he would spend money to build up a strong U.S. defense; support Israel; push domestic oil drilling with an attitude adjustment for the EPA, and promote his 9-9-9 tax reform plan.
Saying I kinda like clinging to my guns and Bibles, and Im not going to let them go, Cain declared, this nation is weaker as a result of this administration.

Mr. Cain is picking up serious momentum. Beck apparently was the emcee at this event, so that means Cain now has Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Mark Levin saying this guy is the one to watch.

Obama is TOAST! The only question remains - regular or extra-crispy? Countdown until Zer0 leaves Office: 476 days as of October 1, 2011.

The Cain Train; “I think I can, I think I can!”
I am really enjoying watching this conservative star strike fear in the heart of Mitt Perry.

77% of the vote. It’s getting harder for the press to ignore Cain. Excellent!

It occurs to me that the nation is so totally disillusioned and fatigued by the usual run of the mill of political hacks doing business as usual, that the broad sweep of America may be refreshed by a plaintalking outsider like Cain.
His being uncontaminated by a past record of political pimping may be his strongest point of attraction.

Any Liberal who don’t support Cain is obviously racist, because they could support a half white but not a full black

Things just keep getting better and better:
Herman Cain will add a heavyweight to his campaign staff on Monday. Taking over as campaign spokesman will be J.D. Gordon, who served as a Pentagon spokesman from 2005-2009 under Donald Rumsfeld and Robert Gates. Gordon is a retired Navy commander. He succeeds Ellen Carmichael, a 2009 graduate of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College.

One of my favorite lines when he spoke at Orlando was, “I’m a Fixer. I fix things. It’s what I do”. And exactly what we need.
