If Palin Enters the 2012 Contest, Christie Will Too
FoxNews.com ^ | September 30, 2011 | Juan Williams

What will it take to get Chris Christie to say yes and run for the GOP nomination?

Come on down -- Sarah Palin.

If the queen of the Tea Party makes a grand entrance into the Republican primary sweepstakes the New Jersey governor will finally say yes to all the calls for him to jump into the race.

At this moment Palin has reason to think she should run. A mid-September McClatchy/Marist poll of registered voters put her only 5 percentage points behind President Obama in a head-to-head match-up. No previous poll ever put her in the elite category of Republicans within striking distance of defeating the president.

This week Palin, appearing on Fox News, said she has to make up her mind soon because “You have to get your ducks lined up in order to get your name on ballots.” She emphasized that she doesn’t need the title of president to make a difference in American politics. Still, the former Alaska governor, apparently responding the recent good poll numbers, said she is confident she can win the White House in 2012 because “Americans are ready for someone outside the box.”

All the talk about Palin has the Republican political establishment seeing red. They fear losing control of the nominating process and the whole party spiraling down, sinking into a sea of far-right polarization and the cult of personality around Palin if “Sarah Barracuda” – her nickname as star high school basketball player -- swims into their waters and begins eating up Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and the other current Republican candidates.

The establishment should have caught on when Rick entered the race and stopped their machine for Romney, but they didn’t. Now they may have attracted a grenade for the party and an Obama re-election. They kept pushing Romney and utterly failed to defend Rick, ignored states rights to establish reasonable immigration and tuition policy. Now, yes, Palin thinks. She THINKS she wants to Arch us, as in Joan of, and split us five ways from Sunday which naturally proves very helpful to the Obama team. The biggest Republican circular shoot-out may be on the way after all. GAD. Popcorn redux.

“Nicolle Wallace, President Bush’s former communications director, went on TV this week to say Palin is the inspiration for her novel about a deranged candidate – ‘cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs’ — who makes it to the White House.”

Isn’t she the one who started the “Palin is a diva” rumors that Campaign Carl was all too happy to “expose?”

The fault with your analysis is that Rick dropped the grenade he fell on.

IOW, he did this to himself, by himself.

I don’t see either Palin or Christy happening.

If they think they can benefit from the beating that Perry is getting, they are mistaken.

They will get walloped twice as hard.

Neither of them are stupid but they are worlds apart on issues.

Neither of them will run.

Juan is so consistent.

Consistently wrong, that is.

On everything.

The only time he is right is when he steals a conservative thought on something.

This is wishful thinking by a brain-dead liberal.

A lberal who forgot that Sarah Palin was one of the FoxNews conservatives that came to Juanie’s rescue when NPR decided to throw him under the bus.

She is more likely to enter the fray than Christie, but I think she is playing games.

Palin’s already been through 100 times what Perry has.

Sure Perry had a rough week. But he did it to himself. He could still do a 180 and probably emerge virtually where he was. I haven’t heard him back away from what got him in trouble. Have you?

It’s true, Palin didn’t have a rough week. Palin had 3 rough years. Liberals did that.

Everyone knows liberals did that. Which is why, it’s not working.

Liberals didn’t cause Perry’s challenge.

Well if we must risk a ‘12 disaster, it will never be because I won’t vote for our nominee. I will. Perry has some time to re-tool and bring a bigger gun to the primary campaign so I expect to see that. Otherwise, Cain, may be the only viable candidate to serve as the uniter between the Palin-Perry supporters, who will never vote for the other in the primary. That Game Over. As for the actual primary winner, I will be so all in.

Li'l Juanito actually think Tubbo can keep up with Palin in a primary race!

He's right about one thing, though...

...when Palin enters, she'll rocket into the lead in all polling and stay there, commanding above-the-fold headlines in every news cycle. And, it will spell the end of the Corrupt Crony Capitalist Cabal, Dem and Rep, once and for all.

There is a very good reason why the weasels continually lie and report on fabricated, manipulated and distorted poll results about her. The end of "Life As they Know It" is spelled S-A-R-A-H P-A-L-I-N.

That is one, long rambling sentence there, Juan.

As for the "far-right polarization", that is pure bunk! Independents, disaffected Democrats, union members, tea party members and conservatives from all across the country will be drawn to Sarah Palin's candidacy. Her issues strike at the heart of the common citizen, hardworking taxpayers who only want to live their lives without the heavy hand of government all around them.

Mark my words, if Palin gets the nomination, we'll see a landslide election of epic proportions. Tea Party candidates; get your ducks in a row because you can be swept into power along with Palin. Then we'll have something to cheer about!

Juan Williams political analysis is not very strong, is it?

I don’t think Sarah is getting in either way. Christie might.
