I lost respect for Mr. freeman when he wanted to change the Mississippi State Flag to rip away the “confederate” corner of the flag. In a vote most of the state voted to keep the old flag—many of the votes were from blacks!

And now I can say from the bottom of my heart, I hope NONE of the movies he makes now make any money. He may have his opinion of me as a racist, and I may choose not to give him any more of my dollars.
Thanks you guys. Freeman was way off base and he’s lost my business and a lot of my respect. All of it if the other allegations on this thread are true.
I remember him as an almost complete unknown on the old Electric Company. Since a lot of what hollywood and entertainment types think about politics have been exposed here on FR the standard default position for them until proven otherwise is that they are flaming leftards. Now here was the first clue as to Freeman being a flaming lefty when no one knew him. He worked for PBS. Looking back it is crystal clear.
If that's a "date" as in romantic and as was stated above he is leaving his 30+ year wife to marry this young step-granddaughter...then that is just disgusting, sickening, and revolting.

Yeah, it’s sad. Freeman grew up in hubby’s hometown of Greenwood MS. We were hoping to get to his restaurant, and Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, at some point. We’re not particularly interested in doing that now.
If we weren't sure before, we now know it's not the least bit beneath him.

Yep...now he’s calling the entire effort to limit Obama to one term, “racist,” when by far and away the most votes he got for his first terms was “white.”
So Freedman is showing himself to be nothing but a cheap political hack now, in essence saying your are not racist when you vote blakc, but youe are if you decide he did not do a good job and want him replaced.
It’s actually insidiously worse, because if the “black,” were someone like Condoliza Rice or Alan Keyes, or Clarence Thomas...well then, ot would also be “racist,” to vote for them because they are “Unlce Tom’s,” don’t you know?
No, Freedman himself is turning out to be a race hustler, using his status as a well known actor to push a radical agenda that is, in essence, racist itself.
Fact is, people will be voting against Obama on much less racist grounds than they voted for him.
