Talk about the media covering asses. News & Observer (the main NC paper) has already changed headline from "discusses" to "jokes." Does this sound like a joke to anyone?

Gov must be ducking and covering from
INCOMING for making such a stupid 'joke'.

If they need something to take their mind off the next election then perhaps it's time to joke about bringing back "tar and feathers." The text does nothing to indicate that she's joking. But who knows how she said it.
Still if they're interested in doing the right thing they should do it and face the consequences as real leaders and statesmen would. But, we are know there are few if any of those left in politics today.
