I am perfectly comfortable voting for someone with his resume as president. In fact, he seems to be an almost perfect antidote to Obama's weaknesses. Obama stacked his administration with government insiders with no real business world experience. Cain is a successful businessman with a lot of real world experience. Given that the number one issue in the country will be jobs and the economy, this is a great advantage.
Furthermore, he is an outsider, when being an outsider is a great advantage. No matter how much democrats blame republicans, and republicans blame democrats, our situation is caused by incumbents of both parties. An outsider can run and win, and the Tea party has proved outsiders can be a force in governing as well.

President Cain in 2012!

I considered that, but stand by my conclusion. Obama the first black president would win the general handily, and there will not be another black president for several decades.

"Being elected does not automatically make a person a leader".
Indeed not; and again; we have only to look at current White House occupant, to be so reminded.
As to our mess; I would offer that 'bad politicians' and 'bad politics' coupled with 'bad business along with bad government business the likes of 'Fannie and Fredie' got us into this mess. Guided as so many of them were and 'are'; by a very bad political ideology.

I'm among the first to admit it's still early and anything can happen.
But unless Palin or someone new gives me reason to think otherwise, one of the current Republican candidates is going to be the next POTUS.
Right now, I'd have to talk myself into voting for all but one and it would be somewhat amazing to actually vote FOR my candidate rather than just a vote to get obama out of the WH. I haven't felt that way since Reagan.
So, unless he talks me out of it, it's looking like it's time for a Herman Cain bumper sticker for my truck.
Weird. I would never and have never put a sticker of any kind on a bumper of any vehicle I've owned, I just don't. I guess there's a first time for everything if you have the right reason.

"If the primary were between Mr. Cain and Sarah, Id pick Cain."
I agree.
Sarah bring too much baggage to the table and would be a much better president in 2020.

Cain can beat Obama, IMHO, if he can get to the nomination. If Cain is talking on TV, he gets your attention.

Obama is a half white wannabe and Cain is the real thing.
One hopes people will understand the difference. This causes the “another black president” position to not be accurate and is not a true comparison. Therefore Cain’s chances may not be ruined.
This, or course, is based upon the premise that the general population will be smart enough to grasp this - perhaps that is too optimistic though.
To: Kaslin
Cain is the only republican candidate I could vote for without holding my nose.

Lately it almost seems like government spends more time trying to run business than it spends trying to run government. This means that business experience is more relevant than ever.
