I came here in May of 1998. A FReeper by the name of Michael Rivero thought I would like it here. I officially joined in September of 1998. FReeper # 9352.

I have worn out a few screen names. CitizenX became Mr_Magoo who became Petruchio.

My only paltry claims to FR-Fame are:
* During the Impeachment I printed out Alamo Girl’s Downside Legacy and personally handed it to Henry Hyde’s staff.

* Designed the FR Memorial Wall. Sadly, there are far too many names on it now.

I’ve seen a number of names of the old troublemakers here. Quidam, Ash, A+Bert, and others. The name I’m surprised hasn’t popped up yet is Classy Green Eyed Blond. That one caused quite a stir when he was finally outed.

I don’t know if I have a FR number but I do know that it was about the time of the Perot/Clinton/Bush era that it was FR that came up the best in my thoughts as to what the USA needed. Perhaps we can get what Jim was looking for this time around. His voice and spirit is still a driving force.

It is hard to believe it has been 15 years.

Jim Robinson has done more in those 15 years to give America a Voice than anyone.
He and his mods, Son John, and his lovely wife deserve our unwavering Thanks.

I have so many memories.
Laughing until my sides hurt. Reading with pride the great intelligence of many of our members.
Crying when we lost one of our bretheren.
Learning the rewards of praying everyday for those that need our help.
But most of all the refuge that FR sometimes gives us in moments of pain.
