ORLANDO -- There's no scientific polling, but talks with dozens of delegates who will vote in today's Florida straw poll suggest that many are making last-minute decisions to vote for Herman Cain.
What seems to be happening is this: A lot of delegates came to Orlando planning to vote for Rick Perry. But Perry's poor performance at Thursday night's Fox News-Google debate gave them pause and re-opened the question of whom they will support. And many of the conservatives who were attracted to Perry will, when asked for a second choice, naturally gravitate to Cain, who, it just happens, had a particularly good debate on Thursday. So with Perry not commanding the loyalty he did just 48 hours ago, Cain appears to be picking up support.

Cain/Rubio IMHO are UNBEATABLE. Both come from humble beginnings. Both have little to no baggage. Both are amazingly articulate honest focused and speak from their heart. We have got to stop the MSM train of Romney Perry. All Cain needs is face time and money. Heaven equals an Obama Cain debate. Can you imagine a debate between Biden and Rubio ?
I hope you pointed out to her that the BHO (& auto industry)
cash-for-clunkers program to encourage new car purchases
required the destruction of the used cars traded in, depleting
the stock of available used cars, driving up the price of
"previously owned" vehicles, usually bought by people with
lower incomes?
So, in effect, her tax dollars went to making her desired purchase
more costly.
>>> He’s a pizza salesman.
Oh please... Doesn’t that make Perry a truant officer???
“Can you imagine a debate between Biden and Rubio ?”
That would be seriously entertaining.
As effectively as he’s run the US? Yep.
He's not been actively campaigning, and a caller said she supports
Newt, but has been unable to find his organization in NH. He
finally went back to Iowa after over a month's absence.
Newt's not serious, and Cain's not getting any traction.
We shall see.

This program destroyed a lot of cars that that could get you from point A to point B without being controlled from a computer and monitored.
Palin were to get in to see the argument between 9/9/9/ and 0% corporate rate.
***
The 0% corporate rate might be revenue neutral or losing, but it will definitely create many more jobs here than a 9% corporate tax rate.
Yeah, right. Like I have to tell her anything.
At 19, she’s all over it and a more vocal conservative than I could ever hope to be. She is well aware of the liberal policies that have personally screwed up her life and let’s her friends know exactly who is responsible (and how) for their own complaints.
Right now she’s working part-time at Goodwill while going to college. This morning she pledged to be a monthly donor for Cain. She doesn’t have much, but she’s going to fight with what she has.
“As effectively as hes run the US? Yep.”
No doubt! However, the poster I was responding to seemed to be making the point that running a private corporation was the same as running a governmental entity, and it’s not. They’re similar but different in important ways. I would certainly vote for Cain, but I don’t think having no political experience is necessarily a net plus for him and I’m sure it would be played up by the LSM.
***This program destroyed a lot of cars that that could get you from point A to point B without being controlled from a computer and monitored.***
The sick part was that we lost thousands of works of art with the intentional destruction of classic cars. Our own baby, a ‘65 Ford Falcon, is now considered an endangered model and it is a direct result of this crappy program.
And the perfect should not be the enemy of the good.
The difference is a zero tax rate is a politically impossible to archive without an intermediate step. A 9% tax rate is a step to a zero rate. You cannot eat the whole elephant in one bite. Our political system is evolutionary, not revolutionary.
Where do you go to become a monthly donor?
McCain was near, or at the bottom, in every poll at this point in 2007. Conservatives should stop letting the Junk Media pollsters pre-select their candidates for them. With even Paul polling within single digits of 0, anyone of these candidates can beat 0.
I agree with everything you just wrote.
Thank you.
You're being an idiot. I didn't tout anything as being "so important". A FReeper asked a question and I gave a direct, factual answer. Herman Cain has no government of political experience. Obama had some prior to initiating his 2008 campaign and now he has quite a lot more. These are facts. Emote elsewhere, dude.
Such as???
Such as having no idea what the phrase "right of return" referred to in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute. Herman Cain's knowledge and experience base is narrow in scope as compared to that of other political figures (e.g. Gingrich, Santorum, and Romney). If this is not obvious to you it is only because you share this condition.
However, your question was misleading. The original point was a claim that “Cain did not have enough experience” I merely pointed out that Cain has more, and better, experience for the job of President then almost all of the other candidate
Take Perry for example. While he has lot of Government experience, he has almost no private sector experience. Part of our current problem is the fact we keep electing professional politicians to “fix” the political system. That is the equivalent of putting the drug addicts in charge of the pharmacy.
How about in 2012 we finally try something different? Considering how badly the Political Class has screwed up everything they have touched, a non politician certainly cannot do any worse then they have
