New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Thank you. I had been mislead.
Let's have the argument, yes. But we must never forget that we have multiple objectives: 1) remove our current Islamic Socialist POTUS 2) defeat anyone in the DemocRat party from Dog Catcher to President 3)elect Senators and Representatives that are strict Constitutionalists 4) repeal Obamacare, It would be wonderful if we would expend as much energy on term limits, a balanced budget amendment, and a Fair or flat tax. That is what I am looking for in my candidates. Those 3 initiatives, if enacted properly and quickly, would begin immediately improve the attitude in this nation.
I vary from 260 to 265 and I am six foot four with a big frame and lift weights regularly. I look closer to Obama’s build in that picture than I do to Christie even though I probably outweigh Obama by more than 80 pounds. Christie must be well over 300. Even when I used to weigh 275 and was totally out of shape I never looked nearly as fat as Christie. I would guess he fits the MORBIDLY obese category.
So you think that in 2012 Obama could beat a blunt-speaking, union-tackling, pro-life, crime-fighting, government-cutting conservative in VA, NC, IN, MT or the Omaha CD? Really?
Christie is certainly conservative enough to win those states, and he’ll win PA as well. The only downside electorally is that he couldn’t pick Marco Rubio as his VP because you can’t have two Catholics on the same ticket.
I wouldn’t bet my last dime on that.
Yeah that's right. If there's no fence, what's the point?
I seriously doubt that Christie will run. Walk, maybe, but, not run./wink, wink.
Having said that . . . I don't want him to run, for many of the reasons people have cited here on this thread. First and foremost is that he'd never win, because what makes an effective governor in New Jersey would be a non-starter in most other states.
You’re a hack! your posts are everywhere trying to pimp somebody’s line
This would be insane. Just insane. Christie is about as clueless about the world as it is about him. Not no, but HELL NO!
We could use 5-6 more Christies in various Blue States to get them re-oriented towards reality.
We only need one Sarah Palin to get the entire nation back on track.
Not exactly the best guy to lead the charge against Obamacare.
>> Good, a big fat RINO aimed directly at Myth Romney.
LOL
I wonder if Rove will say it’s “too late”.
In the world of politics, there's cunning, subterfuge, and ruthless hard-ball. I wouldn't be surprised that in this national chess-game being played out, that Coulter is a secret Mata Hari working to get Palin elected by seducing a Rino Christie entrance into the campaign to devalue Myth's campaign.
We do not need Christie or Daniels for that matter...we have Gov Sarah Palin.
Christie can not even manage his own weight for crying out loud. He supports a Mosque at Ground Zero.
Sarah Palin 2012 or bust
He’s my guv, and I want him to stay put in NJ.
Compared to Gov Sarah Palin, Christie is a left wing Liberal
One thing we all need to be clear on. The moneyed Republicans are not looking for a candidate who can beat obama. They are looking for a candidate who can beat Palin. Simple as that. They are absolutely terrified of her and they know that there is not yet a candidate in the race who can beat her. They thought Perry was the one, but he’s turned out to be a dud. So now they have to go beat the bushes and try to find anyone who they think can keep her out of the race, and they are willing to pay the big bucks to buy that candidate.
