Don't you think it would be cost effective to secure our Southern border? Illegal aliens cost this country $113 billion just in education, health care, and prison costs a year. This does not include the tens of thousands of American citizens who have been killed and injured by illegal aliens. And the social costs of drugs transported across that border are enormous.
Add to this the 300,000 to 400,000 anchor babies born each year to illegal aliens, most of them receiving Medicaid, food stamps, and welfare as American citizens. The fence would pay for itself many times over in just a year.

Answer: Yes.

Of course all illegal aliens should be sent back to where ever they came from.

That isn't what I said, try responding to what I said instead of words you falsely attribute to me.

What do YOU realistically expect the kids of illegals to do? Do you really expect them to leave when they turn 18 and graduate high school all on their own?

Free Republic doesnt amount to a fart in a windstorm — dont get me wrong—in the larger scale of things. But with CAIN, ON A BASIC LEVEL, HE CONNECTED ACROSS THAT TUBE TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE. Reagan had this gift, he does too. Watch the focus group polling numbers afterward by that Fox Pollster Luntz (I believe it is Luntz).

You had your chance to vote for the legislators. They are the ones that passed the bill.

The legislators of TX have voted for a lot of things I don't like. Paying for illegal's college is just one of them. However, some people here on this forum seem to think the people of TX actually VOTED for this policy and that is bunk. Perry loves our country and our people but I'm not sold on him being POTUS because he isn't really conservative but the choices are few up there.

It’s obvious to me that Fox is in the tank with Romney.

It's absolutely clear during the "breaks" on the YouTube feed with the three talking heads giving commentary.

A whole host of their talking heads push Romney: Ingraham, Huckabee, Kristol, Wallace...

Mitt is making me puke.

Me too. But he's one of two front runners and so far he's winning this debate.

Whole debate was boring. Candidates are boring.
Like Mark Levin, we may end up voting for orange juice can.

I have to admit, Perry looks a lot like George Bush and Lyndon Johnson. I’m not liking him at all after tonight.

I’ll vote for him if he wins the nomination, but I’m not supporting him right now going forward. Santorum, Romney and Bachmann destroyed him tonight on one of the most important issues in this election. Are we going to protect our borders and stop this insanity on immigration or are we the welfare agency for illegal immigrants worldwide? Perry seems to think the latter.
