In other words, you have zero counterargument of substance regarding the obviously disingenuous "quitter" meme.

I get it. Thanks. :^)

If Perry, or any contender, had ever walked away mid-term to pursue personal financial gain ...

*rolling on the floor holding sides to keep from splitting* {^)) Oh man, STOP IT! Your killin' me!!! !^) That's got to be the the most hilarious spin yet -- sidestepping a deliberate underhanded legal strategy to personally bankrupt one's entire family is now "pursuing personal financial gain" !!! {^) And this about a woman who quit her $120,000-plus job on the Oil and Gas Commision (Murkowsky appointed her), abandoned that salary, because she was disgusted with the corruption she saw there and ended up using it as a springboard to becoming Governor! {^) "... to pursue financial gain ..." -- really, that's about the biggest hoot yet!

I mean, I don't care WHO you are, that's funny right there! [^)

If Perry, or any contender, had ever walked away mid-term to pursue personal financial gain as did palin...

Bloody hell. You've got a lot of chutzpah spewing that leftist lie on this forum, when the truth of why she resigned has been posted here thousands of times (many of them to you, directly).

Only a paid agent or an utter moron would make that claim, when the real truth of that incident is so broadly known.

If you were a newbie, you'd be nuked in an instant for such slander.

I don’t think Sarah wants the job (president, USA) who would? But she knows no one running right now will clean up the cronyism of our ruling class. She is hoping she does not have to be the one to clean up D.C. But if no one steps forward she will reluctantly get into the race. And she will win.

Speaking of Palin's record in Alaska and her "quitting" -- readers might be interested in Palin's own take on it right here. I expect many will be disturbed at the term "bipartisan reform" that she used several times in the speech, though considering that Palin was a Republican dealing with Republican corruption, it seems a no-brainer that it would HAVE to be bipartisan. :^)

And to beat you to the punch of your trusty ol' "oil windfall profits tax" dodge that you will undoubtedly put forth (if you haven't already on this thread) as one of the things you would criticize about her record, readers can find a pretty nicely informed analysis right here. I know, of course, that it won't prevent you from making the same charge again on another thread, but when readers see you doing that, at least some of them will remember that you're kind of like weeds in a garden, constantly needing to be yanked because you pull them one place, they pop up in another! Weeds are like that, and only such diligence can maintain a "garden of truth," such as FR.

The profits tax she imposed on oil companies (in addition to pre-existing taxes and royalty payment deals) has driven activity away from the state and her hand-picked successor is trying to reverse it.

"Driven activity away from the state" -- Really?

Really and truly?

Yep, you, Huffington Post, Mother Jones, the Seattle Times, and pretty much all of the other usual suspects in the liberalm MSM, call it a windfall profits tax, though Palin explains pretty clearly how it's nothing of the kind. Your allies are HuffPo, MoJo, etc ... you share distinguished company!

Why would he walk away when he receives more financial gain by staying in office? That is just silly. What’s he gonna do? Be a veterinarian?

That was essentially Pawlenty’s criticism of her. But coming
from Palin, it has the ring of authority ( she actually brought reform
in Alaska ).

Good post.
