I doesn't matter.

OK, if you say so.

Texas' success was basically achieved at the expense of other states. The "Texas Miracle" cannot be replicated on a nation wide scale.

Then there were all those jobs created by his industrial development give aways to his buds. Looks a lot like Obies fake stimulus.

So Perry is a twofer. He loses the high ground on corporate give aways and integrity in government.

Plus he never had the high ground in immigration. Wait, that is three strikes.

He's out.

” Loved how he talked about how he’d been “carpet bombed” .... “ <<<

What? No whining? That’s a relief! Thought sure he would blockade the media entirely and then harrumph through every speech and venue thereafter about how dastardly they are.

The "Texas Miracle" cannot be replicated on a nation wide scale.

I know you're kidding, right? Texas pulled about 1/4 of its new jobs from other states, which can be replicated nationally by bringing back American jobs that went overseas in the last 10 years. But ripping jobs from other states is not anywhere near the majority of the jobs created here. Texas has thrived under low taxes, and fair and consistent regulation. Businesses across the nation, as a whole, are stifled by taxes and inconsistent and unfair regulations. Perry is fully capable of replicating the Texas Miracle on a national scale.

Mexi-fornia, where his pandering to laraza/mecha might pay off. How comforting.

Don’t wast your breath on a Palindrone. They’re just trying to keep hope after the Bob & Mark show fiasco from Friday.

Texas has the advantage that it actually possesses money generating assets (oil fields) so it can afford to subsidize its individual and corporate citizens to some extent. That isn’t true of too many other states.

I’m not sure if levers are even available to Perry that would help a situation like California where the locals have willingly tied themselves in knots that not even Obama wishes on the rest of the country (yet).

I’m in Texas. I have a job. I have voted for Perry. I’ve also not voted for Perry.

Romney is the GOP’s nominee in 2012.

The other dynamic is that every high paying job "stolen" from other states brings with it a certain number of lower paying support positions in the local economy.

I doubt if there was very much new capital infused into Texas apart from companies moving in from other states and monies stolen from the people of Texas to give to his cronies.

Oh, well if that’s all it is, I can let it slide just this once. I felt sorry for them after that crushing disappointment.

“Don’t wast your breath on a Palindrone. They’re just trying to keep hope after the Bob & Mark show fiasco from Friday.”

Actually, that was a joke played by the hosts to get the Palin haters all worked up....It obviously worked!

Perry met with Trump hoping to get an endorsement but Trump said he wouldn’t endorse anyone until Palin announces. (http://www.newsmax.com/InsideCover/Trump-Perry-Palin-Mar-a-Lago/2011/09/15/id/411172)

I guess Trump is a Palindrone too....

It was crushing for them. They were all hyped up, and then it ended up being a huge con.

I don't know if it was HillBuzz or Bob & Mark themselves, but the whole thing probably didn't gain her any supporters, and probably lost her some.

The Palin fever has definitely lessened quite a bit since then, and it was already on the decline.

Don’t be foolish. He said he was “waiting on Palin” to make a decision before he endorsed a candidate. That article also said he was considering a third-party run himself. You guys’ desperation is truly pitiful.

“Monies stolen from the people of Texas” can’t be a terrible lot, since it would show up as higher taxes draining away any gain realized. And anyhow it was given to people and entities in Texas, that’s better than shipping it overseas. Not that there weren’t some serious bloopers, such as Countrywide.

To do something analogous in the entire USA, Perry might consider putting huge swaths of heretofore “public” land on the private auction block. That would raise some real, not imaginary, money, as well as putting assets into economic play which were artificially being kept idle. And it wouldn’t be tilted towards the unions or any other special interest group.

Yeah sure. Maybe you didn't see the threads from Friday. The Palin crowd was not amused.

You know, I was listening and I have to tell you I was HOPING she would announce. Got caught up in the excitement of the thread for a minute. It really was mean. When it was over, I thought, Palin had better come out and say something about these guys doing this, otherwise it’s like she’s condoning it. The whole thing made me mad...at them AND at her. Pretty sorry.

I was listening too, and started laughing out loud when they guy with the gruff voice called in and said "This is Sarah, and yes I'm running."

It was cruel, and I can't believe Palin didn't do anything about it. It was all over not only FreeRepublic, but Facebook as well. They had people calling the station all morning.

You'd think Palin might have sent out a Twitter update or something to say, "I'm not going on the show this morning.", but she let them all be duped.

The whole campaign is kind of joke before it starts (IF it starts at all).

He will also lift the drilling moratoriums to get the country’s oil and gas industries drilling again - here in the USA.

As well as lifting the heavy handed EPA regulations that have caused businesses to fold.
