If you want to find out what happened with Solyndra you have to follow the money. I did. The half billion dollars of taxpayer dough that is probably lost in Sol came from the Federal Financing Bank (FFB). Its worth a look at this bank to see what else is going on.
FFB is a bank that is owned and controlled by the US Treasury. The chairman of the Board is the TSec. (Tim Geithner). With the (big) exception of the Post Office all of the loans at FFB are guaranteed by government agencies. Technically speaking, FFB has no risks on loans guaranteed by an agency like the DOE. But I dont think that should absolve Tim Geithner of any responsibility regarding the losses the country faces with Solyndra. If he, (or anyone else at Treasury) puts their pen to a ½ billion loan, they better well know where the taxpayers money is going. That didnt happen.

"I've been accused of being the green jobs czar I consider myself to be the green jobs handyman," Jones tells NPR's Renee Montagne. "We've got about $40 billion in the recovery package that is targeted toward renewable energy, green-job training, energy efficiency, and part of my job is to help to coordinate getting all that money out into the economy, making jobs for people."Source: NPR interview May 12, 2009
“They are the new robber barons”
I don’t think they’re new. There’s a history but with new technology they can’t hide it which is why they want to control it.
Link #21 - yes, they’re all here:

“Who knows. There could be dozens. The green agenda has been and is being used as a money laundering operation to enrich big Democrat donors and players.
It may take years of turning over stones to find all the vermin who have participated in the public fleecing.”
They’ve been caught before but get away with it...see article about Dicks above or to save you time:

This time we should demand justice, they, above all should understand that...:)
“”We’ve got about $40 billion in the recovery package that is targeted toward renewable energy, green-job training, energy efficiency, and part of my job is to help to coordinate getting all that money out into the economy, making jobs for people.””
It looks like it might be divied up among different groups first. Thanks for the link - will look later.
From the same people who pushed Obama on the rest of us? The reliable and trustworthy MSM? /s You're having trouble for a reason - they want this story dead.
Part of the management team of Abound Solar is the Democrat’s nephew, Russell Kanjorski. But a campaign spokesman said the congressman did not have any part in the awarding of the loan commitment.
A Colorado-based solar panel manufacturer for which the nephew of U.S. Rep. Paul E. Kanjorski, D-11, Nanticoke, is vice president of marketing has received a $400 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The loan commitment to Abound Solar Manufacturing - announced by President Barack Obama during his July 3 weekly radio address - is to increase solar panel production at an existing plant in Colorado and build a second plant in Indiana that will create more than 1,200 jobs, a company statement said.

Russell Kanjorski made headlines, along with his siblings, in 2002 when a company they owned received as much as $9 million in federal grants that their uncle helped obtain.
That company, Plains Twp.-based Cornerstone Technologies, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2006.
******
Russell Kanjorski, the vice president for marketing at Abound Solar, was one of the principals in another energy company in northeast Pennsylvania, called Cornerstone Technologies LLC, which attracted $9 million in federal grants before it halted operations in 2003 and later filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy
And to think that Duke Cunningham went to jail for taking some freebies from lobbyists.
Some good news: China’s major industries are financed by state stimulus money, their own big bubble that is just about to burst. Ha Ha Ha!
I will second that belief.
Longtime lobbyist Denny Miller McBee was a big campaign donor of Patty Murray, and Dicks. In 2002, Denny’s son, who once worked for Dicks, opens a company called (Steve) McBee Strategic Consulting along with Jennifer Noland (who worked for Dicks and Patty Murray), and it took off. They had to hire more staff - most of them worked for Dicks/Murray. They expanded and the firm’s president of Northwest operations turns out to be Rick Desimone - Murray’s former chief of staff. The father, Denny Miller McBee and well-known lobbyist, is documented for business with government as Denny Miller McBee, yet the McBee is dropped by the MSM, almost like they want to hide that they’re related. If I hadn’t known Denny was the dad, I would have missed the connection.
“Murray has dipped into M-PAC to support a host of Democratic candidates and groups. Recipients include Reid, the Senate majority leader; Senate Policy Chairman Sen. Byron Dorgan; and the political-action committee of Planned Parenthood.”
These older articles back-up some of what we’ve found:

http://thehill.com/homenews/house/80479-if-rep-dicks-takes-top-position-on-defense-panel-boeing-may-benefit
Dig into Nicks and Murray and I think a connection with Reid and Pelosi can be found. It’s big-time cronyism and with OUR money. Dicks and Murray must be investigated.
PS: Patty Murray must be well-connected with planned parenthood since she dips into M-PAC to help them out. One wonders what little scam is going on there...
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Gave $1.29 Million to China
The issue, at a time of mounting debt and deficits, is about fiscal responsibility, said Robert Gordon, senior advisor for strategic outreach for the Heritage Foundation, who has closely monitored EPA grants, and recently wrote a piece criticizing the Chinese grants.

We owe them trillions yet we’re giving them grants. We have money to burn apparently. Steve Spinner, American Progress (Podesta/Jones etal) senior fellow, feels it’s just fine to throw multi-millions at Solynra, an obviously failing company at the time. And there’s the corrupt Murray and Dicks...
And I keep forgetting to add that, McBee Strategic Consulting, was a lobbyist for Solyndra.
For later...
Solynra also paid Dutko Worldwide to handle it’s loan application last year (which is apparently very detailed and over two hundred pages long).
Dutko Worldwide had been around K-street for 30 yrs but from 2008 (Dems took over) contracts dwindled almost, as if, it was deliberate else how would they have survived 30 yrs. They eventually had to sell. A British Global Company called Huntsworth (top guns) bought them out in 2009, built the program they used in Britain, ME, and Asia (are we being standardized?).
The Chairman of Dupko Worldwide is an ex-Chairman of Goldman Sachs International .
Andy Wright is the President. He went directly to Dutko Worldwide from the office of Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA), where he served as Chief of Staff. Sherman is a senior member of the House Financial Services, Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees.
Bill Andresen is a senior vice president in charge of federal lobbying at Dutko. He’s a part of Harry Reid’s K Street Cabinet, he was chief of staff to Sen. Joe Lieberman, and has worked with advocacy groups for centrist dems, such as, the centrist Democratic Leadership Council and the Third Way, which is PUSHING FOR CLOSER TIES TO BUSINESS.

Was anyone asked to vote for these changes in our way of governing? It appears we’re being forced via silent coercion into this “Third Way”.
McBee’s Strategies Consulting, lobbyists, (with management consisting of Democrat ex-Aides from Dicks and Murray’s offices - the CEO a son of a long-time and well-known in DC lobbyist), got money from Solyndra to lobby on their behalf.
Dubko Worldwide, communications, (with management consisting of Democrat ex-Aides - President was Sherman’s Chief of Staff), got money from Solyndra to write their application. Then what happened? I wish I knew how the system worked. Going forward, it looks like a member of American Progress, Steve Spinner, approved an application (completed by Dubko), for half billion dollars. And it’s obvious that McBee’s lobbied successfully but not with whom? Did they lobby the old way (however that’s done) or did they get a referral from a government staff member?
These specific companies are manned with ex-Aides from Patty Murray, Dicks, Lieberman, Sherman’s (senior member of the House Financial Services, Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees) offices and Harry Reids K-street Cabinet. That alone should quality the government as a Company a Business Conglomerate. Anyone here know how this lobbying system worked as compared to this process? One does see how they needed National Socialized Healthcare.
PS: I think this is something else that was heralded in by the Clintons. When one investigates any internet site of power - they’re on the board.
Excellent research. For us, this is eye popping, but I have a strong feeling that this is business as usual. People just play musical chairs from Capitol Hill to K Street and back. Sometimes they take a detour to Wall Street.
I just makes me so angry how they play so cavalierly with our hard earned money. Like it’s some big game of monopoly. America, please wake up!
I’ve got no idea how lobbying works but can see it’s very incestuous and corrupt. I know term limits have been thrown around, and am finding it might be a good idea. I’m thinking Bloomberg as I write... As for the Aides, they need to circulate at least every two years, as it appears they also need “rewards”. They all apparently come to believe that the money belongs to them.
I think American Progress has played a bigger part in this scheme than is apparent at the moment. It’s also grown a lot since I last looked at it. It must be a multi-million conglomerate. Where are they getting the money...
American progress gets its money from a lot of front organizations. It’s hard to find exactly who’s behind them.
“The Center for American Progress is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization under U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The institute receives approximately $25 million per year in funding from a variety of sources, including individuals, foundations, and corporations. From 2003 to 2007, the center received about $15 million in grants from 58 foundations. Major individual donors include George Soros, Peter Lewis, Steve Bing, and Herbert M. Sandler. The Center receives undisclosed sums from corporate donors.”
Jon Stewart covered it!

Bookmarked your site. Great job. It’s hard to keep up with all this cronyism. It’s rampant and deeply ingrained.
