Oh, no! Another Democratic senator in possible election trouble for 2012.
And from California already?
A new Field Poll just released this morning brings news that California's Sen. Dianne Feinstein is -- how can we put this in a liberal kind of way? -- approved by 41% of voters who want to see her reelected next year.
Unfortunately for her, more voters (fully 44%) disapprove of her continued employment in the U.S. Senate after 2012.
In blue California that makes for about a magnitude 5.2 quake.
The same poll finds that only 41% approve of Feinstein's job in Washington, while 39% disapprove.

good. california will be a HUGE money drain on the dnc
I’m surprised the corrupt old goat running for another term.
Time to announce your retirement.
We need the Oh Noes kids here!
Coupled with the fact she’s lost most (if not all) her campaign funds, this could become interesting.
She saw the California electorate was dumb enough to re-elect Barbara Boxer and she knows she ain’t quite that bad. Or quite that dumb.
Do the Republicans have a viable candidate?
If they didn’t dump Boxer ,who in my mind is much worse, they won’t dump Feinstein.
Right. I recall we heard the same noise about Boxer.
Defeat Feinstein? Please.
It’s California, folks... not gonna happen. Oh, there’ll be some gyrating in the polls from time to time, but in the end she’ll win in a walk.
The Trotskyites all over the country are being shown the door....guess the Marxist shine has worn off for a whole lot of Americans....
The beauty of all this, is that like a large land war, resources are going to have to be diverted. When the D’s have to fight tooth and nail to hang on to the feinstein seat and make sure obama wins California, that bodes very, very poorly for Democrats across the country.
I just wonder how many D’s can still be ousted after 2010. Lots of Senators for sure. But I think even in the House gains can still be made. If the Weinie seat in NY can go GOP, then anything can happen!!!!
California is a waaay lost cause. I’d like to think that Feinstein coule be voted out, but it’s California. (of course NY9 is NY9)
Likely, they're finding her to be too "moderate" for their tastes. That approve number would jump into the 60s if she'd act more like Nancy Pelosi or Pete Stark.
NY-9 has taught them that they cannot be complacent.
Exactly.
They’ll just put her on a table and raise it up through the roof during a thunderstorm and shock her dead political career back to life......Diane Frankenstein.
Boxer was in trouble too but she pulled it out. Polls are now showing Obama and Feinstein are in trouble but they too will probally pull it out. But the good news is , Obama and dems will have to spend a huge fortune to keep CA , money they don’t usually have to spend , money that will have to be pulled away from swing states. The biggest blue switch I see coming is New York. Wall Street and the Jewish vote is ready to make a change in 2012.
