This morning, John Fund was on WMAL-AM, the talk radio powerhouse in Washington D.C. He mentioned that nobody in Democratic circles is defending Obama anymore. Buyers remorse is everywhere. Essentially, only those actually working for the Administration or Democratic Party, trapped inside the Alamo, are defending the fort now. Anyone can guess when they might start turning the guns on each other, perhaps starting from Foggy Bottom. Fund thought there is a chance that a committee of senior Democrats might go to Obama in a few months and tell him it might be best not to run for reelection. Who knows. At least the disappointment would be bi-partisan if that happened, with White House loyalists and the GOP both upset Obama wouldnt be on the ballot in November.
Then Andrew Breitbart over at the Bigs has the same observation as Fund:
I predict a tectonic shift among American Jews and within the Democratic Party if Obama doesnt quietly retire. All the spinning in the world cant spin away the trend of Scott Brown, the Tea Party victory of November 2010, and now the Turner earthquake.
Many Democrats are awakening to the reality that their party has been hijacked by a radicalism completely unfamiliar to their parents and grandparents Democratic Party.
An internal, partisan civil war is now brewing in that party. What I think tonight is less important than what Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton, Evan Bayh, and the rest of the former, and now defunct, reasonable wing of the Democratic Party is thinking tonight.
Granted, its early, and one bad night in Brooklyn does not an LBJ make. But there is no mistaking the sense of failure creeping over this Presidency after so much Hope.
Hey Now, I work with wood. It is at least useful ;)
Agreed. I figure between Gunwalker and Solyndra ( sp?) zero will be scandal-ed repeatedly until election. That sound he hears will be his own party backing up the bus
First the spontaneous laughter from the White House press corps about Obama’s “campaigning” and then the NY 9 blowout the following day. Looks like a tipping point to me, particularly with this “inside the Alamo” talk on D.C.’s blowtorch AM news/talk station.
Suddenly everyone’s making fun of Obama ... loudly ... in public. And I’m out of popcorn!
I’m not going to quibble with that, but Biden scares the he’ll out of everyone.
—Behind the scenes you even have powerful dems working with Republicans to rid this country of him.—
This.
It hit me when I read Reids words on the jobs bill. They are just dead tired propping up the poser. And after yesterday’s election results it is clear that their continued support of him is killing their party. They want him out. He’s dead, Jim.
People are already talking of him in the past tence. Not what he does, but what he did. I’ve noticed the shift. It is a foregone conclusion that he is outa here.
He is utterly irrelevant and we must look to the more pressing issues.
I hate a dream a fews months back...it was only a small blip but PIAPS was VP.
—Theres a little glass box on the wall of the DNC headquarters that reads in case of emergency, break glass. In side is Zeros fake BC.—
I’ve wondered about that since he was elected. But Gunrunner will do.
—But I don’t see Obama going gracefully. It’s not in his makeup. Thus, all this internal warring may well bring things more to a head than settle anything.—
If that happens, God help our country. Seriously.
Hopefully, the Secret Service has taken all guns out of the White House and Camp David...this guy could go into a total meltdown and start shootin’ the place up.
—And Idont think our urban denizens will take calls for him to quit too nicely.—
If things turn ugly for Obama, those folks could make it very miserable for the whole country. Don’t get me wrong. They are the ones that would suffer the most for it, but it would be very ugly. Perhaps the civil war so many are predicting.

They’ve been on the gov’t titt so long the only thing they know how to shoot is their mouths.
Which is why neither Hillary nor any Democrat to the right of Dennis Kucinich will challenge Obama.
Obama has so tainted the Democratic brand, they can't win.
And I believe they won't return to power until the American electorate have forgotten just how toxic they have been to our democracy.
In the future, every Republican campaign should include references to Obama, Pelosi, and Reid.
Hey, it’s worth a try. I’ll sign.
Oh- he11 no! Not another clintoon in the White Hut.
The banks are broke, and another stimulus won't make a difference.
“Agreed. I have been saying this for years. All the repubs will do is put up that dbag of a shiitehead Romney. Romney will be told just like they told McCain... its not your night, make it look good. Nobobody.. but nobody is going to say a thing to the negro. Hes got another term as sure as hes a Kenyan. Anyone who actually believes otherwise is not being realistic.”
I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be unrealistic, but this statement is based on what hard evidence? Do you know something the rest of us don’t, or are you advocating that we all become useful idiots to the Dems and not bother to oppose Obama because we can “take it to the bank” that he will be reelected?
Also, they have suffered some electoral losses. Why did they not use whatever info or formula you believe they have to stem those losses? Oh I know! They wanna make it look good...right?
Sounds like Globull Warming theory. It can never be proven wrong because we just move the goalposts when it suits the cause.
If you agree with that statement (and I do), then you must agree that the next President will come out of the Republican primaries.
And there is where the next battle will be fought for Conservativism.
The issue of electability should recede. If Obama runs, Democrats will lose, and Republicans will win. It's that simple.
Will the next President be a Tea Party Republican, or an Establishment Republican?
That is the only question.
