Complete Headline: Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off 55 gallon oil drum and had affairs with NBA star and husband's business partner: Sensational claims in new book
Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off a 55 gallon oil drum while snowmobiling with friends and had elicit affairs with a top NBA star and one of her husband's business partners, a new book sensationally claims.
In revelations which could strike a devastating blow to the controversial politician's hopes of joining the 2012 presidential race, Mrs Palin is said to have snorted the class A drug off an oil drum with her husband.
Joe McGinniss's book The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, which is due to be published on September 20, also alleges that the former governor of Alaska is far from the traditional family woman she claims to be.
Mrs Palin, 47, had a one-night stand with Miami Heat basketball star Glen Rice less than a year before she eloped with her husband, the book claims.
She is said to have met the 6ft 8ins player in 1987 when he was playing in a college basketball tournament in Alaska and she worked as a sports reporter for KTUU television.
It is also claimed that she carried on an affair with Brad Hanson, who ran a snowmobile dealership with her husband Todd - a betrayal which led to Todd dissolving their business.

I think you would need to ask Sarah too.

The business of books: how international conglomerates took over publishing ... By André Schiffrin
Has an interesting bit on Bertelsmann.
LOL.
Alinsky fail!
LLS
I am not making a legal argument, just making an observation.
The left has been making outlandish statements about Republican candidates with impunity for years, ie: October Surprises. I think this is one person (Palin)that may take them to task and actually not roll over as so many have in the past.
In all honesty, if they are down to this, she had better run away and hide in terror. /sarc
“Oh, she had sex!!!” - BFD. Just means she was a young woman with all the normal urges who slipped.
“But it was with an NBA star!!!” - I assume he was at least competent then.
“He is black!!!” - and you got a problem with that for some reason?
“She snorted coke!!!” - the oil drum bit makes it totally hysterical. Again, who honestly cares. I have snorted coke and had more that the odd joint in college. Drunk enough booze to float a battleship.
I am not the strongest of Palin supporters, by any stretch, though I like her immensely as a person and an influence, but seriously - this non story is going to benefit her, the TEA party, and whoever gets the nomination. watch for it to be buried without trace within a week.
I met her once, briefly, she stopped and chatted when she heard my accent, and the lady has killer charm and the rare ability to make you feel you are the only one in the room with her while you are talking.
The physical appearance of your mate has nothing to do with affairs. I have a friend who is a veerrry attractive woman whose husband cheated on her with a woman of, how shall we say this, questionable physical appeal.
What is bothering ME is that you so obviously seem to be enjoying what will surely be, whether true or NOT, another human being’s pain and misery. This woman has five children and two grandchildren and a husband she has been faithful to. Your callousness is cold and cruel, and for that, I dislike you very much indeed.
What kind of journalist is this guy?
that’s a good article.
should be a separate thread on fr.
Only if she's not running. She will not want the aggravation, time sink, and expense of dealing with a lawsuit while she's running for President.
Not to mention discovery. I wouldn't be surprised if "authors" frequently come up with outlandish lies abut public figures just to provoke a lawsuit so they can get into the discovery phase and go digging for juicier gossip.
Nope...
Who's got the picture taken in her college dorm with her wearing the shirt that says "I'm broke, but I'm not flat busted."
And here's another angle to consider: I'd be willing to bet that this book would never make it past the legal eagles of any other publishing conglomerate. They wouldn't want to risk a huge libel suit and horrific PR. The fact that Crown/RH/Bertelemann is not only willing to bankroll the book but risk a libel fight to boot, also speaks volumes, IMO.
LOL, I didn’t notice a hat either until you mentioned it,but it is sort of hard to see and blends into the background. Not sure if I would have noticed a white, yellow or red one... probably not. :P
Nice!
Thank God Palin is normal ...I thought she was a religious kook
Yes, it’s worse! It’s OIL! NO COKE FOR OIL!
