“Palin even went as far as to lend her voice to the charge leveled by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) during the debate against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R): That he allowed a law to go though requiring HPV vaccinations for adolescent girls because of a $5,000 campaign donation and his relationship with his former chief of staff, who went on to lobby for a pharmaceutical company.

You know what, I think 99% of our politicians look like schmucks.

Even my beloved Demint has done it...

They get in office and write books, hell you name it—whatever to turn a dollar, reality TV, talking head...

It is like taking office or whatever gives them enough name recognition and platform to prostitute themselves and string along their constituents.

I think we need to stop this DC crap.

We need to be more accurately represented as was the original intent. There are only 435 reps for over 300 million of us.

All states need to build a roomy capital for their representatives, connected to DC for online meetings. They can set dates for a few gathering in DC, as had been the original intent. Not LIVE in DC and then visit home.

I am so tired of them all...

isn’t that one of those, ‘ come down to my level ‘ type remarks?

13.5 months away, what and why all the hurry?

instant gratificational type society?

I’d rather wait and see who and why they get in the race then go at like picking a favorite in a horse race ... a week before its run

I agree. She’s an attention hog. Just trying to pimp her book sales.

I can’t speak for P-M, I only know that I am worn out and this Obama mess has really worked to grind me down.

I cannot believe and would have never believed, that a president could weigh on me this much.

I want Obama defeated, even if I must go against my standards— let me have a president that I can at least sleep at night without fear.

We will all rest and plan our next election well, defeat the rinos and set things right.

Now, just let me have a president that doesn’t feel like drowning, and recoup a little of my strength.

I am looking for a ring buoy for this election and we can later decide our island. That’s where I’m at. I suppose some are stronger...

Excellent point. As if Reagan didn’t fight for the nomination in 1980!

And, yes, everyone squeals about the 11th commandment when his/her candidate is being attacked. I’ve probably done it myself, lol!

Guardasil is a vaccine against a sexually transmited disease. A disease transmitted from having multiple sexual contracts.

What part of that is a lie????????

Giving 12-year old girls the vaccine is obviously based on an assumption that they may be having multiple sexual contacts.

That’s a pretty sick assumption in my book.

And that’s the truth......

Well, the sad truth is some are. Hell, many, many girls were sexually active when I was 14 and that was 25 plus years ago. Things have only deteriorated since then.

I am not defending Perry's decision, this shot nor would I ever give this shot to my daughter but HPV is rampant. It was rampant 25 years ago. I worked with a young girl (24) who had cervical cancer and I have known legions of women (then girls) who have had to have procedures to freeze the abnormal cells off their cervix (I forget what it is called). At one point, I knew so many girls having it done, I was sure it was some sort of a scam.

Looks like Governor Palin likely won't be going to the ball with Governor Rick 'Crony' Goodhair after all. So much for the Perrybot's touting Sarah's undying support for their fair haired boy during his last gubernatorial election. What Governor Palin did HERE in supporting Michele Bachmann was what made her such a darling and a conservative heroine within the ranks of the Tea Party and the real independent conservatives in America. Her voice still carries a lot of weight in this nation. The trust factor is still rather high.

Perry IMO is showing that he is not nearly as tough or conservative as his campaign handlers would have us all believe he is. I also believe we are witnessing the beginning of the end of Rick Perry's much troubled entry into the presidential race considering all the baggage he has brought into it with him. There's blood in the water now. Perry was politically wounded in last nights debate and now the shark feeding frenzy will ensue. Now it gets interesting. Oh, and good for Governor Palin, she is absolutely right to say Perry should be called out for on all these suspicious and as well credible charges being brought against him. He must be held accountable.

Are are you actually implying that unless you’re running for president that you’re not allowed to speak up against those that are? She may never run for president but that doesn’t take away her ability or responsibility to speak up against what she sees as wrong, anymore than it does yours.

Maybe I should tell you to either join the fray or shut up.

You are becoming annoying.

You must know some real winners. I know no young girls who have had cervical cancer or any procedures to freeze abnormal cells on their cervix. Legions, really?

But I really am not sure that any state could allow drilling without approval from EPA or some other federal agency.

On private and State land, the permits for drilling oil wells here come from the State (ND). On Federal Land, from the Feds and the State. There are regulatory hoops to jump through on both levels in general, but far more so on Federal Leases.

So how do you expect people to talk about their differences & disagreements and what they think about certain issues if everyone has to tiptoe around everyone. Reagan wasn’t stupid and he didn’t expect people to sit down and shut up when they disagreed. I notice everyone pulls this 11th commandment when certain candidates are being criticized but those same forget this tenant when they’re talking about a candidate they don’t like. Primaries need to be about sorting values & candidates. If we shouldn’t talk against another candidate then shouldn’t we all be saying nice things about Paul and Romney. There’s plenty of time to apply the rule after the primaries. Of course if that were the case we’d just have to accept Romney because it’s “his” turn.

Valid points.

Come on P-Marlowe....

Palin is Reaganesque, it’s Sun Tsu, it’s.....brilliant!

She is waiting for the candidates to destroy each other so she can come riding in to save the day. What’s wrong with that? /s

I think we agree with what’s wrong with that. Like it or not the primary season starts earlier now than ever, and certainly earlier than it did in 1979. The candidates, including my own favorite, Herman Cain, have entered the race and the vetting process has begun.

Palin looks like a fool and a coward sitting on the sidelines tweeting and posting on FB like a teenager and occasionally going on TV to “commentate” a/k/a screech about various candidates. And don’t even get me started about the lack of class she demonstrates showing up to try to steal the thunder of legitimate candidates in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Get in the race Sarah. Participate in the debates. Your scheme will not work it’s turning people off. If you’re not ready to stand on a stage with your fellow candidates and address the issues how the heck will you be ready to deal with the issues of the world?

Besides don’t think she’s bulletproof. There’s a new book coming out about her soon, of course we all know it’s crap but lots of people will believe it, look they thought she, not Tina Fey said “I can see Russia from my house”. There are also unasked questions about why SarahPAC only spends about 10% of its money on contributions to conservative candidates. Those questions are coming.

She said she'd decide by the end of September. Just how could she have benefited by having already announced?

She's involved in these debates simply by commenting on them; and get as much or more publicity than any of the live participants.

And some Perry supporters aren't much for truth either...sad

There was a thread here on FR in the recent past pretty much summing up the rabid support for Rick Perry by his adoring trolling Perrybots scattered over FR. They pretty much acknowledge in one form or another that their guy is a liar, a back room dealing crony and likely a crook to boot but they don't care because he is their crony candidate of choice and we all can pretty well go to he:: if don't like it. Just goes to show what a sorry mess and state of affairs the Republican party is in these days. RINO's are destroying it!
