Palin even went as far as to lend her voice to the charge leveled by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) during the debate against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R): That he allowed a law to go though requiring HPV vaccinations for adolescent girls because of a $5,000 campaign donation and his relationship with his former chief of staff, who went on to lobby for a pharmaceutical company.

There's a lot of that going around.
Palin taking pot shots from the peanut gallery while everyone else is standing at the podium and subjecting themselves to the heat.
Palin is becoming annoying. If she isn't running, then why is she trying to destroy the candidates we do have. Is it her strategy to sit on the sidelines and shoot the declared candidates until she thinks she has done enough damage that she can waltz in and save the party from herself?
What one with an Alaskan mandate? You don't have one...because they didn't.
Fortunately I don't run into many blatant liars here on FR...you are an anomaly ...
What? OPT out... you have got to be kidding me? Where is the evidence that Sarah executed a mandate?
There is none...and he/she knows it...
This is straight from the FEDERAL government. There is nothing here saying Palin tried to implement an Alaskan law forcing immunization. Support Perry all you want, but don’t lie.
Kudos to Palin for keeping it honest. That said, Perry can survive the idiotic vaccine EO.
She didn’t call it a mandate. She accepted the federal funding which enabled the federal mandate. So you see, she’s trying to go to a symantics loophole. She allowed the mandate of Gardasil, under her watch, but it wasn’t HER mandate. She could have stopped it like 30 states did, but she didn’t.
I’ve already provided the links. The threads are active, page 1. If you’re interested in this topic, get after it. If you want to pretend I’m telling stories, stay here and pretend it just ain’t so.
So we should just shut up? I don’t understand this kind of thinking. How would you suggest we select a candidate if we don’t listen and discuss the various pros & cons, of the candidates & their positions even when that discussion turns contentious? Is there another way? Frankly I learn a lot as people try to promote their favorite candidate. If there’s another way shouldn’t we then change the constitution. Guess we’d have to start with the first amendment then start in with the election process. Maybe it gets contentious because we all care about our country and want to put forth the candidate we think will best serve the country.

I totally agree. Reagan used that ploy as a way to avoid slamming others when he didn’t feel feel it was prudent. I am just commenting on the defense used of Palin in the last couple weeks on her support of Perry.
Little history behind the whole 11th Commandment thing.

The feds can’t mandate it if the states don’t take the funding for it, get it? Ever hear of “unfunded mandates”? You can’t do that. Palin took the money. That means she accepted the federal mandate for Alaskan kids. I’m sorry if this truth hurts. The fact is, Gardasil was a good vaccine. Is a good vaccine. And could save thousands of lives each year.
Alaska didn’t MANDATE it, it was made AVAILABLE.

I've read the links...no Alaskan mandate...end of story.
Exactly.... see muddy the waters, because it is 'crony capitalism' to have your chief of staff lobbying for the drug company, while as governor executing mandates and collecting 5 grand. They alll know what it is and so did Sarah. BUT 'truth' is NOT apparently going to be a part of the Perry campaign, I mean everybody lies and nobody is perfect.
English has to be their second language...
No. Alaska didn’t have to mandate it. Alaska accepted federal funds and the feds mandated it. It wasn’t an Alaska law. The difference in Texas and Alaska on this thing is that Texas governor intervened and said, hey, wait a minute, parents need to be able to opt out for more than just religious convictions. So Perry didn’t take the federal funds, instead Texas had to fund it themselves, and in so doing he was able to make it available with an OPT OUT.
And some Perry supporters aren't much for truth either...sad
You don’t have to accept the truth about Gardasil and Palin and Alaska. I care not. Gardasil is a good vaccine. But don’t pull the ole double standard and shovel your misinformation on Perry on the Gardasil topic when your hopefully-candidate did the same thing only worse as governor, if you ask me.
That's what turned me off on her.
