Greta Interview with Palin and Bachman: Disgusting innuendo about Perry
Self | Self

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:40:37 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I saw the GOP debate and the Greta interview with Palin and Bachman. I am absolutely against Perry's mandate of the Gardasil vaccine. On policy grounds. Period.

But, to see the two ladies pile on with corruption charges against Perry was truly disgusting. If they have any proof that Perry mandated the vaccine to profit Merck, I am the first one who wants it. And, if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.

It happens in the industry all the time. Acquaintances get you an audience. So, in this case, the fact that Perry's previous staffer was a lobbyist must have gotten the meeting. A meeting to hear about this wonderous cancer curing drug. Nothing corrupt about it. Is there more to the reason Perry made such a call? Possible/Probable. Evidence of it? None so far.

Come on. Do Palin and Bachman have to resort to gutter politics to get themselves better positioned?

It's true. These ladies are scrapping for relevance the only way they can at this point. Palin as much as confessing she's a troll, running around trying to stir things up for those who need to be told what to think, while Bachmann...ugh.

Still, the truth is, it's all "out there" on Perry, all his warts -- those things that don't matter a hill of beans to voters looking to climb out of this jobless hole Obama put us in. Perry had the kitchen sink thrown at him and undoubtedly survived. Tonight needed to happen. All good.

The “slut shot”, as I like to call it, is premised on the belief that young girls either should be sexually active or that their promiscuity is inevitable.

There is another way of preventing HPV spread: CHASTITY.

Perry did NOT RESCIND the order. The Texas state legislature passed a law to overturn it and Perry had to sign it.

He COULD have rescinded it and then we could all believe he "made a mistake".

Baloney.....if this tactic bothers you I’d say you’re a bit delicate aren’t you ??........Politics ain’t bean bag....Palin has to take out Perry first before she guts Romney....and Bachmann is the pit bull on this.....and it plays into Palin’s main theme against Crony capitalism.......Perry is in the big leagues now.

It’s just a where-there’s-smoke-there’s-fire thing, coupled with other instances here in Texas when government peograms backed by Perry had funny-money issues.

His bullheaded determination to force the Trans-Texas Corridor down our throats, despite ties to the contractor, comes to mind.

But that’s just Perry.

Do I think he’s dirty? Yep. Been watching him for more than a decade, and I just assume his pockets are well-lined by now.

Will I vote for him for President? Probably.

Best we’ve got. I think he can handle the job. He’s tough as nails. He’s generally on my side. That’s more than I can say for the current resident.

We just have to go with what we’ve got.

Um..not everyone covets a sarah palin endorsement. I really don’t care. She lost me a month ago when she said maybe she’d take another two months to make a decision.

The way I see it she’s either stringing along her supporters to continue to retain some relvance and make money or she is running but too gutless to throw herself out there to have her own record dissected, debated and cast aside. I know...her supporters like to say she’s been vetted but not really. She got to skip Republican national debates and head right to the vice presidential debates with automatic conservative rallying around her.

I maintain my position. Perry is the frontrunner. He’ll have everythign tossed at him. If he emerges not too badly dented he’ll be the nominee. If he doesn’t, Romney may be the nominee. Palin has no shot and I don’t want to vote for Romney soo...I have to cross my fingers and hope perry survives. :)

Merck gave his campaign $6,000, either just before or just after.

In case you didn't know, that just doesn't look good.......but neither does the rest of those favors he gave to businesses for campaign $$$.

You can stick your head up your rear end for as long as you want and chant la la la, but this is not a winning issue for him. It's called pay to play the Texas way.

I’d like to see a transcript of the show for myself. Did she actually use Perry’s name?

Rick was infamous in TX for crony capitalism long before Palin raised the issue. He practically said as much tonight, when he used his ability to raise $30M as proof that his regular prices were much higher than a mere $5K for political favor.

One of the candidates isn't in the race ~ he had a run in with Shariah law showing up in his state supreme court ~ but he also ran Eli Lilly ~ a major pharmaceutical manufacturer.

He probably favors a different candidate than Perry so he blew the whistle on Merck, and if there's somebody who ought to know the undercurrents of that business that's Mitch Daniels.

Sure. Gutter politics is the only way Palin can beat Perry. She has no experience or record to run on - if she ever runs in the first place. Bachman surely has no other way to beat Perry.

I agree. She had better have some proof of corruption. Otherwise the word for what she did was slander.

If Perry is smart he will call in sick before the next debate.

I listened to it also. Palin offered no evidence except anecdotal and she ignored a question to continue her shots at Perry and his “crony-politics”. Jeeze she sounded like a nitwit on the radio.

Hmm, ties to "the contractor" or "a contractor" or "somebody in the road building business"?

Since the road wasn't approved, wasn't designed and no contractor was selected, who are you speaking of?

Yup, at least there was an opt out. There’s no opt out for the other vaccines. I don’t like the idea of a mandate for any of them.
