Rick Perry fails to impress in GOP debate

Texas Gov. Rick Perry needed to show in tonight’s debate that he is presidential, substantive and ready for prime time. While he made no major gaffes, he certainly did not stand out in the crowd. He took hits on his views on Social Security and on mandatory HPV testing, and unsurprisingly did not have convincing comebacks. At times — on foreign policy and on global warming — he seemed to search for words. He will need to lose the frozen grin as well. His best moment came near the end of the debate when he gave a measured, tough-minded defense of Texas’s high rate of executions, explaining the circumstances under which you will pay “the ultimate penalty” in Texas.

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann turned in solid performances. Nevertheless, it was largely a Romney vs. Perry affair.

Medicaid is taxpayer funded. If Perry can shove a taxpayer funded, spread the wealth, socialist mandate down our throat and you are ok with it, then you should have no problem with Obamacare. The supposed “opt out” clause was a gimmick. Back away from Perry a bit and you may be able to see its really NOT that much different than the Obamacare fiasco.

Oh brother. So now it’s not about Gardasil, it’s about government welfare? Well guess what. Perry didn’t invent Medicaid. More of us have private insurance than Medicaid, and it was we, The People, who would have benefitted most.

"Then you will be elceting Obama again as sure as pulling the lever for him."

WOW! Deja vu, all over again!
Where have I heard THAT bullshit line before?
I held my nose and pulled the lever for the stinking Bushes.
I held my nose and pulled the lever for that stinking rat bastard liberal McCain.

You know what?
If the repulsive party serves up another globalist,
I may just vote for Obama, for spite.

The kernel..the nugget of it all is taxes, regulation, and immigration

The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....

South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.

Why can’t Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE

Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......

Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.

Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation...and is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.

Real”leadership” is that which will place Flyover Country’s interest ahead of the Feds....haven’t yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.

I hope he learns quick, because I don’t want Mitt and Perry and Mitt are the only two that I think have a shot at beating Obama.

Busted.

Remember the Tea Party tsunami of Nov.2010, aided by Palin, attacked by Rove?

And the economy and foreign policy have only gone *DOWN* since then: why throw away our best chance since Carter, maybe since LBJ (the Dems are speaking of primarying Obama) to install a movement conservative with coattails, in favor of a squishy globalist RINO cause 'oh, help, poor us, we think maybe he can win.'

Cheers!
