NBC picks Packers over Obama in Milwaukee [ NBC ! Yes! ]

He probably didn't know it at the time, but when President Obama greeted Green Bay Packers quarterback (and California Golden Bears alum) Aaron Rodgers at the White House this August, he was shaking hands with the competition. And not because Obama is a Chicago Bears fan.

The NBC affiliate in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, WTMJ TV announced yesterday they will not be airing Obama's jobs speech at 7 PM EST Thursday night. instead they are opting for their own pre-game coverage of the Packers Saints game scheduled to kick off at 8 PM. Green Bay's NBC affiliate, NBC 26, will also go with the Packers pre-game show over Obama.

Saints fans do not appear to be as devoted to their team. WDSU, the New Orleans NBC affiliate, plans to stick with Obama.

Tough choice. Are you going to get more viewers watching the season opener of the Super Bowl champions or watching a slightly different rerun of another speech from George Soros' favorite sock puppet who is also on all the other channels?

If they gave us the same choice in the Pittsburgh market, we would watch the Packers as well.

I understand USA and Versus are carrying pregame coverage. I'll be there or watching a Rockies game. Nobama.

Good because I heard that Lady Antebellum is on the agenda for the pregame show.

Speaking of the Packers, didn’t some of the team work against Walker during the union thuggery? Maybe I dreamed it but
I thought I read where they were in “solidarity” with the union goons.

That's Obama's quickly-fading legacy:

Just words. Just speeches.

One of the very few perks on the left coast is that by the time we settle in for dinner, the game just starts and we don’t have to listen to the kenyan klown lie to us.

I am surprised the politically correct NFL isn't delaying the game.

If NBC affiliates go with Obama, it's going to hack off a lot of fans. It's stupid because anyone who wants to see Obama can simply watch another channel.

Sister Gertrude Marie may be 70 but she still has a great arm.
