I guess that makes me a Scientologist, because I’ve posted repeatedly that Palin holds a special position because there is no one — not even George W. Bush — who has been the subject of the Democratic, mainstream media and left-blogosphere smear machine to the extent Palin has.
So yes, I do take it personally when conservatives lash out at Palin not because of her policy positions or what she’s done or not done in her career, but with personal invective.
It’s not religion, its a cold hard understanding of what is to come, and how those who call Palin a diva or a tease or any of the other names coming from media conservatives do damage to us all. Palin is simply the test case for how the Republican nominee, whoever that person may be, will be treated, and we pile on her at our own peril.

My apologies for overlooking ping etiquette. BTW, if ‘you’re’ candidate doesn’t get nomination, and another candidate does.. instead of sitting it out, why don’t you at least do a write in of your candidate?
I have never "sat out" an election before, and I would still vote in all of the other races. Honestly, I would for any other GOP nominee over Obama, even if I had to hold my nose (after all, I voted for Dole and Bush41!) But the hyper-palinstas have very thoroughly soured me on her candidacy, at least this time around. Maybe if she runs in 2016 or 2020 and the cultists have calmed down, I can reconsider. But after getting Obama, we don't need another cult of personality, not even from the conservative camp.

For the September 3 appearance? No. Back in the beginning of August, I had predicted either August 15 (to steal the thunder of the Ames straw poll) or Labor Day weekend (next reasonable target, first significant post-summer weekend). But by at least a week before the 3rd, it was quite apparent that any announcement would be later in the month.
Fine by me -- I still don't see what all the rush is. If she gets in on September 30, that still gives her a full month before any registration deadlines. She either has a plan that works, or she doesn't. I'm patient enough to see how it plays out.

I never have,and other than someone calling her a "quitter", I have not seen that. But RINO is the mildest thing the Palinistas call Perry. Civility seems to have gone out the window. It does not appear to be possible to disagree with someone about Sarah on this forum - if you do not agree that she is our only hope and will win an amazing victory, you are called a RINO troll, a liberal, socialist, etc, etc, etc.
