"Romney PR-attack? "

Hardly, the Romney campaign is dying to have her enter so that she will split the conservative vote and enable him to capture the nomination.

The Hill speaks for the TP?

No one asked me.

Victor Luebker demonstrates the single biggest problem with leadership in the Tea Party. He obviously thinks his opinion should govern candidates. Overblown self importance of leadership will destroy the TP. I am certain that his group is marginal in numbers and influence.

I’d almost guarantee that it is Gary Stein. The one man band who himself founded the group—and attached the name of all the armed forces to it.

>>> Who are the people in this group who are making accusations in the name of a Tea Party group?

Tea Party Movement Spreads To Military
Zachary Roth | April 12, 2010,

The Tea Party movement has gained a foothold in the armed forces.

A new Tea Party group, Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots, has grown quickly since being launched last month by an active duty Marine Corps sergeant. The group, which vows to “stand up on the very soil we defended to preserve common sense conservatism and defend our Constitution that is threatened by a tyrannical government,” currently has over 400 members, who have signed up through its Facebook page, though many are not active duty military. And it has close ties to the broader Tea Party movement.

Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots. Never heard of them but if they don’t want somebody to be a part of their party all you have to do is not invite anyone. Problem solved.

What I found out so far is that it was started by a 24 yr old active duty Marine. He complained about Obamacare on the groups FB page. It was taken down. The ACLU defended his right to have the page even though military regs say you cannot criticize the C-i-C while in uniform. Apparently the FB page is back up. In other words it is a kid in Calif with about 400 active duty members.

I'll look some more later.

well, it seems like there's always somebody trying to speak for the tea party protesters, or at least make a buck. If the media is holding this guy up as spokesman, it can't be all good.

They started up April 2010, folded, and are now trying to resurrect, FB page does not list friends or supporters.

"Couldn't have an agenda could you Rob?"

Now that you mention it, I do have an agenda. That agenda is to ensure that the Tea Party remains an independent movement not tied to any particular personality. it would be easier to discredit the Tea Party movement if it can be tied to a single personality in the eyes of the public like the pro-freedom movement of 1994 was seen as tied to Newt Gingrich. When the media took out Gingrich, it damaged the credibility of the pro-freedom movement. I do not want to give them a single convenient target. The media's success in driving up Sarah's negatives can only be an anchor tied to the Tea Party if she is being portrayed as the face of the movement. I think that they are intentionally trying to use guilt by association to discredit the movement. Finally, just to make it clear, I do not want to see any of the other candidates to be seen as the face of the movement either.

Marine Says He'll Continue to Post on Tea Party Facebook Page - April 15, 2010

Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots FB

When I first came across this groups link, it had already been taken down by Gary Stein. I did not have the opportunity to read any of the posts by Gary Stein. I only read that he felt like he was forced to remove the group. I was curious as to what rules or laws he had broken by having this group. Was it the association... of the Armed Forces with the Tea Party movement? I continued this group be...cause I felt like it should continue to be a forum for anyone to express their opinion on any subject. The Tea Party is a loosely organized group of millions of people who are concerned with the growing tax debt and want to share their ideas with others and their government. Feel free to share your opinions. It's your right. - Len Olson

If the Tea Party fails to spawn leaders, it is a failure as a movement.

Armed Forces Tea Party Patriots = Rick Perry infiltration into the Tea Party

Please ignore them.

There is nothing corrupt about selling books or making movies. They are legitimate, honest activities in our free market economy.

And I don't want a group of unknowns smearing someone either. What's their proof of their charge? Or don't they need any? It's simply the GRAVITY of the charge? Dan Rather LIVES!!!!
