WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Ten years after 9/11, Americans are wrestling with their opinions of Muslims, a new survey found, and where Americans get their TV news is playing a role in those opinions.
Nearly half of Americans would be uncomfortable with a woman wearing a burqa, a mosque being built in their neighborhood or Muslim men praying at an airport. Forty-one percent would be uncomfortable if a teacher at the elementary school in their community were Muslim.
Forty-seven percent of survey respondents said the values of Islam are at odds with American values.
The Public Religion Research Institute and the Brookings Institution conducted the survey and issued a report, "What it Means to be American: Attitudes in an Increasingly Diverse America 10 Years after 9/11."
"Americans are wrestling with fear, but on the other hand they're also wrestling with acceptance," said Robert P. Jones, CEO of the Public Religion Research Institute.

What a pathetic attempt by liberals to paint Americans as still intolerant haters.
But the last I checked, Muslim fathers still murder their daughters for “honor,” Islamofascists are still taking over countries in the Middle East to impose a draconian system known as Sharia law, and Islamofascists are still murdering people by the score with bombs.
So, CNN, who are the real “haters?”

..they kill their wife’s at the change of weather, kill innocents because of the thrill, the remaining practicing ones celebrate by handing out candy to their kids....oh yeah kids, they are willing to strap bombs to youngsters as young as 4.....
but not to worry, they are peaceful.

I remember the celebrations in the Muslim world.
I especially remember the Palestinians, and a certain ugly woman in particular, dancing in the streets and handing out sweets in celebration.
The Muslims who want to marry your 6 year old daughter? The Muslims who want to force dhimmitude and then conversion on every nation they invade? The Muslims that want women covered head to toe and treated worse than dogs? The Muslims who celebrate and hand out candy after terrorist atacks and raise “charity” funds for the families of suicide bombers?
You mean THOSE Muslims??
