Possible Multiple Shooting in Carson City, Suspect Still in the Area

CARSON CITY, NV - Carson City sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting in the area of the IHop on South Carson Street.

Details are very sketchy, but initial reports indicate that more than one person has been shot on the 3800 block of Carson Street and a suspect is still in the area.

We have a crew on the way and we'll update this story as information becomes available.

Maybe some aliases in there also. There maybe is more going on than anyone is being told, if anyone knows anything. This certainly is not being investigated? Best guesses can be wrong, but dots and lines are starting to connect, in my mind. Of course my mind has been called delusional more than once ... therefore doubting an alarm will be sounded.

Mexican markets in Salinas run mescal up from Mexico and sell it in large plastic cubes, or in soda bottles sometimes.

Yes, a 3rd Gaurdsman has passed - a female which had been reportedly taken to Renown yesterday with either a head or stomach injury. News 4 here, reported that all the Guardsmen were taken to Renown as their extensive injuries required them to be taken to the regions top trauma center.

Presser @9A scheduled by Sheriff Furlong. We may possibly get the names of the Guardsmen at that time.

News 4 also reporting that authorities are looking into where Perp got weapons since he did not have carry permits.

Thanks BossLady. Will have to go offline soon. Hearing a rumor (rumor?) of a report of having traced the AK back to Mexico. Weapon once was in hands of Mexican police (this is the rumor)? As stated a rumor, and the investigation is early. More interested in the bank accounts and flow of funds through the business or businesses. Perp reported to be on disability? Maybe another rumor. - Family members report Perp as 'slow'. Why did the guy have guns? Why was he first on the Mi Pueblo Market biz license? Did the brothers just use this guy to do their dirty work? (we know Gilberto is asking for money to talk to the press)

2- Sgt First Class Christian Riege - Reno 38 -father with kids - Afghanastan from 2009 to 2010 - also in Navy for 2 years

3- Sgt First Class Miranda McElheney - 13 years in Guard, owned small nearby baking company,

4 - Civilian - Florence Gunderson, 67, South Lake Tahoe, husband retired Marine Corps was with her and injured

- Perp was a citizen and history of mental illness that is being investigated.

- No other person involved.

- Cannot conclude military was targeted since equal amount of civilians were shot.

- ATF looking into where Perp got guns

- Survivors all have serious to critical injuries

- No one inside iHop was armed

- Many acts of heroism said to have happened inside restaurant

- Perp made 3 pawn shop transactions in last year

- Prez of iHop says no employees were injured and they brought in counselors to help them thru incident

- Confirmed that Perp used assault rifle and was also carrying a pistol which was not used. Also found other weapon in van

News 4 911 Calls -

- Male Owner of BBQ placed called and you can hear gunfire in background telling dispatch that shooter when inside iHop then came outside and was shooting....started yelling at woman to get out of way and also for people to get inside. (I believe he is one of the people that went inside iHop to help and came upon Mr. Gunderson who was injured and looked over to see his wife dead and around to see peoples heads split open)

- Lady caller said someone shooting at iHop....Dispatch asks....Oh do you know who it is?

Adding it all up -

Perp carried 2 guns with him during spree (another rifle found in van) an AK and pistol that he did not fire. He reloaded AK so he obviously knew how to use it. Now...for a person who was considered 'slow' and mentally unstable..I find that interesting. Perp also had 3 pawn shop transactions in last year....did he buy pistol in one of those transactions?
