Palin Watch Continues: No Announcement In Iowa Speech
By Robin Abcarian Los Angeles Times September 3, 2011 Reporting from Indianola, Iowa Sarah Palin did not announce a presidential candidacy Saturday in her speech to the Tea Party of America.
Instead, she hit the usual "tea party" high notes about the dangers of a second Obama term and the perilous financial situation the country faces.
But in addition to those familiar themes, she also unleashed a high spirited attack on corporate crony capitalism and the permanent political class.
It was not lost on the crowd of about 2,000 that a certain Texas governor has spent most of his career in office and has been accused of rewarding his financial backers. That man, Rick Perry, is widely considered the current frontrunner for the nomination.
Sounding very much like a candidate, she proposed her own plan for economic recovery, including repealing Obamacare, focusing on energy independence by developing Americas natural resources, and putting an end to the federal corporate income tax. This she said, is how we create millions of high-paying jobs.
To offset the loss of government revenue, she said, she would eliminate corporate welfarethe loopholes and bailouts.
Barack Obama promised to cut the deficit in half. Instead he turned around and tripled it, she said. Barack Obama is adrift, she said at another point. He doesnt make sense.
Who wants to win the future by investing in hare-brained ideas like solar panels and really fast trains? These, she said, are non-starters . . . . All aboard Obamas bullet train to bankruptcy.

If Sarah Palin looked more like Debbie Wasserman Schultz or Debbie Stabenow, some Republican women would like her better, especially Republican women who look like Debbie Wasserman Schultz or Debbie Stabenow.
I love Sarah Palin for her Conservative values, but she really does have a shreiky voice that is very irritating, even if you agree with her. I will say that I would rather watch her than any of the other possible candidates except maybe Michelle Bachmann. But I'll go with Dick Cheney on this one- I'll support her and work for her if she is nominated.
Wait.. you mean the Palin Todd Pic!?!?
That was an Excellent photo, if that’s what you mean :D
You’re a little kid, VR....lol.
You couldn’t wait for the PDS troll to spam post his poll.
ROTFL.
“You want to get a clue? Listen to her speech today. It’s posted.”
I haven’t listened to the speech yet. I’ll check it out tomorrow. Thank’s for the “head’s up.”
It’s a barn burner! She really goes after Obama and DC. You’ll love it.
Yes.. just looked at that one compaired to the one I saved to PC.. same pic... but the one I have, I downloaded from FR (yesterday).. and it had the name of DREW (credit)..
I will add your name if you wish me to ;)
This is a great visual!
BTW, great pics :D
Cr@p, sorry I forgot to add you to the Palin Pic Ping (I try to remember all of the people that may be interested.. maybe I can ask onyx to make a ping for that XD)
Hello, Eric. Where you been hiding? Haven’t seen your posts in a coon’s age.
Did your whoopie cushion run out of gas? (just foolin’ with ya!)
Anyway, I’m assuming your post is about Reagan, and you’re right. Reagan stood alone against Carter, with no other challengers within a mile.
I apologize for misunderstanding.. When you said ‘banner’, I was thinking about the background :p
It astounds me how you PDSers are blind to reality. Does anyone think the economy is anything like it was in 64? Our current government is smothering Capitalism and destroying our Liberties.
Everyone I know is very anxious about this economy. They resent the arrogance of the elites of both parties. Congress has about a 14% approval rating for good reasons -- they don't represent hard working Americans.
I know quite a few people who have never voted, but say they will vote for Palin. Once Americans see the "real" Sarah and hear her message of American exceptionalism, they will move to support her.
Sarah will crush the Marxist (>370EV)
I have no problem with her voice... it’s her HEART that is most important..
Obummer has a voice that people ‘can listen to’.. where has that gotten us?
She and Todd are lookin GOOD....
Reagan announced in November!
Clinton announced in October!
