A plurality (47%) of Likely U.S. Voters believe it is at least somewhat likely that Palin will enter the presidential race, but that includes only 13% who feel its Very Likely. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 35% think a Palin bid is unlikely, but just five percent (5%) say its Not At All Likely. Eighteen percent (18%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Only 18% of voters think it would be good for Republicans if Palin entered the race. Sixty percent (60%) say it would be bad for the party, while 11% predict it would have no impact. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure.
Even most Republicans (52%) believe it would be bad for the GOP if Palin threw her hat in the ring, a view shared by 74% of Democrats and 54% of voters not affiliated with either major party.

However, I hope she doesn't run for two reasons:
1. It will be much easier for the ds to make this election about “The Republican is crazy or stupid or both.” (Yes, I know they're going to do that anyway, they have since at least Eisenhower, but they've already established their false claims.) We need this election to be about issues, size and scope of government, freedom and responsibility.
2. I think he talents would be MUCH better suited to be the Head of the RNC.
I'm not sold on Perry or Romney, but I'm not thinking Sarah is the answer either.
The GOP can go to hell.
It is September 1st, the country is in its worst condition since the Civil War and you will only vote against Obama if Sarah Palin runs? If she were running one would think that September would be the latest someone would announce.
I'm on your ping list and quite frankly I am shocked you would say such a thing. No I don't support Romney nor Perry, I'm still supporting Bachmann and would support Sarah Palin, however, saying you'd rather have Obama if Sarah doesn't run is insane, I would expect more from you.
I worry that she may be getting pressure from
McCain to run. You know he is supporting fellow RINO Romney. Sarah might pull enough from Perry to let Romney sneek in.
I hope I’m wrong about her, but this is bothersome.

You know if she doesn’t run, it’s gonna blow your cover.
Sarah will run when she’s ready!
When/if she does jump in to the fray, she will be a definite game changer to the gop!
I know the easy response is "let them all fight first", Sarah Palin will need a TON of money in order to beat the Kenyan. We already know he plans on a billion dollar campaign.
I support Sarah just as much as you guys but I'm getting frustrated that we have heard nothing, money is vital in campaigns. You guys are vets here you know that.
In order for Sarah to beat Zero she needs to announce NOW!!!
Cue the Twilight Zone Music...lol.
That's just flat out ridiculous!
I think you’re over-estimating McCain’s influence on her. I know, everyone has their panties in a bunch because she campaigned for him last year. I think of that as payback for McCain introducing her to the nation. Now that she has repaid the favor, she doesn’t owe him a thing.
LOL. TIME is on HER side.
Relax. The others are dancing to the media tune.
I've seen that opinion/emotion expressed by Palin supporters many, many times.
In general, I would agree with you. Take Perry, for example. Prior to him getting in the race, not many people knew who he was, and so his numbers as a presidential candidate were pretty low. Once he announced, people took a look, liked what they saw, and he jumped into the lead.
It is more significant with Sarah for a couple of reasons. First, while no one outside of Texas knew much about Perry, Sarah has had almost 100% name identification ever since 2008. She has been on national TV, had a reality TV show, been headlining Tea Party events - basically, she has been camapaigning for president almost non-stop since 2008. Most people have an opinion about her already, and despite her high public profile and constant media exposure, her negatives have stayed high, and her positives have stayed low. I don't see how her jumping into the presidential race will change her approval ratings. It will change the poll numbers for the primaries, as some of the Tea Party supporters will switch their support to her, but she will have a long, hard road to change the minds of people who have already decided they don't like her - and that appears to be close to 3/5 of the population. What are the people who don't like her going to see the day after she announces that they didn't see before to make them change their minds?
I don't see how it could. Unless she were to win the nomination, that is.
Money is everything in these campaigns. Even down to running for a position such as a Village Board requires money.
Zero is raising a billion, if Sarah enters now she can be a fundraising machine and match that billion. I believe that.
But she has to get in now, otherwise more people are going to flock to Governor La Raza oops I mean Perry.

Marty62! Dear friend. Please don’t lose your mind! He complains that she doesn’t answer his phone calls...lol.
