Governor Perry 's Islam Connection (The Truth)
RightSide News ^ | Aug 31, 2011 | Amil Imani

The news of Governor Rick Perry jumping into the Republican nomination race for President, released a media tsunami that assaulted my brain. In no time at all, people came up with a long list of negatives about him. In a democracy, honest and thorough scrutiny of anyone's records seeking a public office is not only the prerogative of the electorate, but it is its duty.

Unless someone can come up with solid evidence to the contrary, I feel relieved that Governor Perry is not an Islamophile, he is not even an Islamic apologist, and he can be entrusted with the responsibility of guarding our nation's priceless heritage of liberty against the assaults of Islamic fascism.

OK. Now tell us why the Bilderberg New World Order types have picked Perry.

The guy went to one meeting in, what, 2007? I'd go to a meeting if they invited me. They probably have great food.

I'm don't know how to refute your point, because I'm not sure how you arrived there. If Perry is Illuminati material, then I guess I don't really know what Illuminatis are aiming for.

I’m not voting for a McCain or a Bush or a Dole or a Bush again.

Who do you have in mind?

We want patriotic Americans who know that the Muslims are here to kill us.

No public figure is going to say this. Anyone that did would be shot with tranq darts and stuffed into a straight jacket. America's just not ready to hear that sort of thing. Herman Cain didn't go nearly that far, and he still wound up walking back his words a half mile.

I think that Western civilization and Islam have a major and bloody reckoning coming to settle their basic incompatibilities, but we're just not there yet. I spent the better part of the last decade downrange, and even the Army can't bring itself to say it in those terms.

May I squeak in here, long enough to say that Perry spoke at the Build-a-burger meeting. His topic? STATES RIGHTS & FEDERALISM. He came. He went. Next question?

Which candidate isn't? Palin said of the muslim faith, in her 2009 Hong Kong speech:
"We are not at war with Islam. This is a war within Islam, where a small minority of violent killers seeks to impose their view on the vast majority of Muslims who want the same things all of us want: economic opportunity, education, and the chance to build a better life for themselves and their families."
If you can't even get Sarah Palin to declare war on the Muslim religion, who are you going to get? What candidate is going to do what you want?

You should have used the “Perry is a muslim sympathizer” argument here, because that would be on-topic for the thread.

It’s helpful to keep each anti-Perry talking point in it’s appropriate thread, otherwise it looks like spamming.

Steel Wolf, it’s simple to answer.

He was invited to a meeting, so he went to see what it was about. As Perry himself has said, they never invited him back, or to join. So he clearly was not “picked” by those types.

I was being a bit facetious. I don't believe in global conspiracies and such. When you rise to a certain level, ego becomes more important than ideology.

Once you start looking at the world as a giant conspiracy, it all makes sense. I don't think the world is supposed to make sense quite that easily. It's sloppy, self-sustaining reasoning. Comforting, I suppose, but I wouldn't trust it an inch towards explaining someone's motivations over the normal human vices.

Go the Link..http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/08/here-is-the-aga-khanrick-perry-curriculum-scrubbed-from-the-web-cache-scrubbed-from-google-search.html

READ the guidelines for the Curriculium to be taught about Islam (Muslims).. I agree 100% that the History of Islam (From Mo to current times SHOULD be taught at all educational levels, in every state of the Union) BUT THE CURRICULUM THAT TEXAS IS TEACHING IS NOT FACTUAL - BUT A DISTORTION OF THE FACTS..PROBLEMS CANNOT BE CORRECTED IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE “TRUE” HISTORY OF THE PROBLEM..STOP THROWING CONTINOUS ROSE-PETALS AND STATE THE FACTS...WOODROW WILSON HAS LEFT THE HOUSE...

Exactly,...
The founding fathers were so stupid with all their “separation of church and state” crap.

“What is more disturbing is the claim, nearly all of it originating from one source, that Governor Perry is supported by CAIR.”

One source, it seems, is plenty for the anti-Perrys to grab on to and run with. And could be any Leftist/conspiracy garbage on the Net.

Does it make you *proud* to continue spreading false and distorted claims about Perry?

I thought FReepers were suppose to be smarter than that?

Just as the fact that Texas pro-life groups giving high marks to Perry for his pro-life stance “proves” that Perry is actually not pro-life, so his receiving the Defender of Israel Award for 2009 “proves” that he’s an enemy of Israel.

In the twisted logic of the anti-Perry fanatics in FR.

>>If you can't even get Sarah Palin to declare war on the Muslim religion, who are you going to get?<<

Read her words again. We are not at war with Muslims. That’s a true statement in as far as an active war is not against all Muslims. She must parse her words if she hopes to be taken as a serious candidate. That’s a far cry from that welcoming statements Perry makes. Perry worked with Muslims to include Muslim classes in schools in Texas.

Here’s just one quote from Perry.

“It is a great honor to be in the presence of the Imam of 16 million Muslims around the world, a global humanitarian leader, a man of peace with a pluralistic vision for people around the world, His Highness, the Aga Khan, the 49th Hereditary Imam of the Shia Imami Ismaili Muslims. Your Highness, on behalf of 23 million Texans, and over 600,000 thousand Muslims living in Texas, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your 50 years of great international leadership. We are delighted to welcome you to the Lone Star State and participate in the celebration of your Golden Jubilee. I am also grateful to the many federal, state and local leaders in attendance tonight. By their presence, these special guests convey the profound respect that exists in the Western World for His Highness’ work and leadership.”

Working with Muslims, welcoming them, and working to get Muslim teaching in schools is a far cry from stating that we are not “at war” with all Muslims which we aren’t. We have Muslims working with us against the radical Muslims but welcoming them into our culture with there propensity to overwhelm our American system is something that can not be tolerated.
