Palin’s Saturday Speech Still On, Tea Party Founder Says
ABC News ^ | Wednesday August 31, 2011 | Shushannah Walshe

ABC News’ Sheila Marikar and Shushannah Walshe report:

Sarah Palin has not canceled her keynote speech for the Tea Party of America’s Saturday rally in Indianola, Iowa, according to the event’s organizers.

Ken Crow, the founder of the Tea Party of America, told ABC News this morning that he “hung up with [Palin's] people five minutes ago” and “she’ll be here on Saturday.”

“Gov. Palin is a lady of her word and impeccably honest,” he added. He admitted that the organization’s encountered “a couple of errors” in planning the Sept. 3 rally.

“I’m naive when it comes to politics and what you are supposed to say to and not say and my crew and I are rookies at this sort of thing,” he said. “We made mistakes and now we are fixing them. It’s all good.”

Multiple media outlets reported this morning that Palin had backed out of the “Restoring America” event, but still planned to be in Iowa on Saturday.

It is made up that it was a media conspiracy. You don’t know that it was. Since Palinista’s like to make things up as they go along how about Palin pulled out until O Donnell was cancelled? How about the media did not make up that it cancelled but that it was reported that she was not speaking as the article says errors were made in reporting this? Who knows what transpired to where it was briefly reported that she was not speaking?

As well as we don’t have time for these games. How is Palin unseating Obama or helping by not running or pulling into some where with her bus and bashing the authenticity of the poll claimimg the people didn’t chose? I am keeping my eye on the goal and that is to unseat Obama not dream in fairy land and make up someone is running or when. If she does she will why bash everyone else until then what good does that do?

If it were Palin in the race solidly and let’s say Bachmann was on the fence pulling into polls with her bus and trademarking her name and I were to post huge pictures of her and bash all others and act as if I knew she was running and spread false information of dates I JUST KNEW she was announcing would you not think I was out of my mind?

Interesting thread. Interesting event. Very calculated sabotage or silly MSM crap as they have no accountability these days. Who can tell.

Also interesting how many anti-Palin posts and Palinesta slurs. On the thread. Its Like the Lady just brings the s*** to the surface every time she stirs the pot, even when she did nothing today but get up for breakfast. Its bad enough to insult people you dont know on a thread, but to keep repeating the insults?! What the heck is up with that?

What is with this PDS thing? It has such power, yet nobody really knows why.

Sarah is out fishing today. Wonder if she knows all the tempest the Media has stirred up. Funny... She ends up dominating the headlines and twisting panties while out to sea fishing.

I don't see where Palin is at fault according to that report.

The events folks are the ones who invited O'Donnell, and then, because of a backlash from the attendees, had to cancel her. They seem to be completely responsible for mishandling the event.

And if Palin also requested O'Donnell not be there, I wouldn't blame her. It seems obvious O'Donnell was just trying to use Palin for her own book promotion. I wouldn't take kindly to being used that way either.

The organizers definitely seemed to be amateurs. They are making a lot of people look bad.
If you get a figure like Palin to commit; you don't go out and invite O'Donnell later on without discretely asking the Palin folks (and maybe others) ahead of time.

Too many cooks spoil the soup.

Evidently, the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing.

It's been fixed!

Nothing wrong with amateurs organizing a Tea Party.

The experts on both sides nearly destroyed America.

I'll go with the amateurs every time!!

“Nothing wrong with amateurs organizing a Tea Party.”

Disagree; they shouldn't be amateurs anymore. There should be plenty of people that know what they are doing by now.

Not a huge deal here I guess in the big picture; but still why waste energy and momentum with easily preventable stuff like this?

They need to cancel O’Donnell.

Why? Didn't Sarah endorse O'Donnell in 2010? Why would there be a problem with her being there too?

The TP should distance themselves from O’Donnell. She is lame.

I gotta hand it to Sarah Palin, She knows how to make these libs look like complete idiots, along with foiling their plans at every turn.
She is a master of media un-manipulation. They try to manipulate the news, and she ties them in knots.

Heads up, Freepers Everywhere!

Obama plans to give his speech on the same night, Sept 12th, the Republican Presidential Debate will be held in Tampa, FL!

As Rush said, Speaker Boehner should put a stop to that date! Phone calls needed to the Speaker of the House!
