I know, I know: Its a Zogby poll. But cmon. I had to blog it. Just because I knew that headline would rock your world. Hes not leading by this much. But he is leading, comfortably.

You are telling me to “get a grip”. The two party state we live in is false? Who has an ‘I’ lever when it’s D and R.
I think Perry has the potential to do that. Many (like me) are favorably biased towards governors from big states that have done well. I am giving him a chance to compete with the others and see who prevails in the primaries.
However a word of caution. Perry has a big fat mouth and hasn't been through a single Presidential debate yet. He also seems capable of digging himself into a hole.
Authentic Texans have big mouths. It's part of their charm.
Alpha male Perry will be welcome relief from four years of the effete Obama and the mostly invertebrates in the US Congress.
It's a looooong way to the elections.
It's been that way since 1776, and much longer if you count the English system. Don't blame the system because your pet candidate isn't winning. Do you want any lunatic off the street to jump in? That's how you get a Hitler.
A three party system won't work because three is unstable in any social grouping, and a four or more parties means chaos. What we have now is not ideal, but is the best that can be managed.
Need I remind you that the last time we had an "I" it resulted in Bill Clinton? Also, of the two "I" in the Senate, one is a liberal ex-Democrat and the other is a communist. There is no magic to "I". They are usually either spoilers or extremists of one stripe or another.
Yep. Cain used to be well back of Bachmann and Paul. Now he’s caught up to them, but trails Perry and Romney.
That’s good news for him. For a man who’s never been number 2 in the race, passing everyone else has to be the first goal. Then worry about Perry.
Grant, Eisenhower. Maybe you can count military experience as government experience.
And that’s the reason that we are in the mess that we are in.
Cain’s solid. He’s not a lawyer or a career politician but a businessman with a math degree. I know who I’d hire if I had a choice.
“is a stronger candidate.”
So was Trump at one time. We’ll see if it sticks.
I wish conservatives wouldn’t be afraid to support who they consider to be the most conservative candidate.
Any of them can beat Obama.
So let him run for governor, get elected, serve a couple of terms, and prove it. But iirc, he couldn’t even win a statewide primary the one time he tried.
Obviously NOT republican primary voters..
Bachmann will win the primary..
And Pee Wee Herman could win against BArry Half-White..
-OR- Paris Hilton..
Think that is an understatement. The news stories just in the last week from the WaPo, NYT, LAT, etc has been nothing but over the top. Their writers must be working the night shift with the paper makers on overtime. For someone who has been in the race for 2 weeks the response by the left has been wild.
In two weeks we now know more about Perry from the press than they have told us about Obama in 3 years.
“We can make him conservative”
OMG, that’s the dumbest thing I ever heard... so, now, at the most important election in our history, we’re gonna elect a 1/2 Lib & MAKE him what we want. Um, the only people MAKING Perry do anything will be those who pad his pockets. He’s been governor of TX for 12 yrs, and the Conservatives here haven’t been able to make him conservative, so....good luck w/that...
Hey, here’s an idea..how about we vote in a REAL conservative who isn’t bought & paid for and won’t leave our borders wide open....maybe someone who has been a conservative for MANY MANY YEARS, 24/7....someone who is conservative in election years AND the off years....
That’s the deal...he has money problems...he has stifed employees...a very political active friend in Louisiana knows the deal with Cain...and he doesn’t think he can last much longer.
We can make him conservative.
Rick Perry, Astronaught, a man barely alive.
We can rebuild him. Stronger, faster...
The six million dollar candidate (thanks to crony capitalists from Merck).
Try and visualize the presidential debates with Rick Perry at one podium and Obama at the other (complete with TOTUS). Can anyone imagine which one would be perceived as the person most likely to protect Americans and get the country on a better track? I can.
The left most definitely does not love Perry
Just becasue the left doesn’t love someone doesn’t mean they’re the best candidate.
Are the left’s attackes personal or based upon Perry’s policies? If their attackes are mainly personal, then perhaps they tacidly agree with his policies?
The left hates anyone that isn’t them. They even hate themselves (of course, they’re liberals, they can’t help it)
