Herman Cain and Rick Perry generate the strongest favorable images among Republicans familiar with them, and have separated themselves from the remainder of announced GOP candidates as Michele Bachmann, Mitt Romney, and Ron Paul have tied or set new personal low Positive Intensity Scores.

I just heard Perry on Hannity’s show, and he said that one of the main reasons that he joined the GOP was b/c of Ronald Reagan. Yeah right, he loved Reagan so much that he voted for and worked for Carter and Mondale, and then went on to chair Algore’s ‘88 Presidential bid! I smell a rat, and it stinks. Bob

I am extremely happy to see Herman Cain picking up some steam! He is certainly a likeable man, and he has a good head on his shoulders, willing to seek out information and take time to process it. I like him.

I found this interesting little segment in the article which was not included in your excerpt above and thought I would add it here for those who have not gone to the original article. I found this to be really fascinating.

From the thread’s article:

Excerpt:

Implications

Perry’s image remains positive among Republicans familiar with him, even as that group has rapidly expanded in recent weeks from slightly over half to three-quarters of all Republicans. Many other GOP presidential candidates who have shown gains in recognition this year, including Bachmann, Huntsman, and former candidate Tim Pawlenty, saw their Positive Intensity Scores decline as they became better known.

Herman Cain is the only conservative candidate who has actually generated wealth and jobs the only way they can be made--in the private sector. Cain belongs to an orthodox evangelical church. He is the antithesis of the establishment counry-club Republican.

Other than Cain, there is Michelle Bachmann, who has lived out the evangelical Christian creed and has fought consistently for Tea Party principles.

We do not have to accept another phony career politician like Rick Perry, who is trying to climb on the Tea Party bandwagon. Bachmann has the best rating on immigration, while Slick Rick has the worst.

I have always thought Cain’s main problem to be exposure. Everyone who hears him speak seems to like him.

Herman Cain would make an outstanding President.

He is an extremely successful business executive and a very smart man. He has real world experience with turning around failed businesses.

This will translate well to being the head of the Executive Branch. He might not have broad experience in every area but who does? He has the ability to pick a winning, conservative team and save this sinking ship of state.

Politicians got us into this mess, why don’t we give a non-politician a chance at getting us out?

I like Cain a lot. A whole lot. But I have trouble seeing him as the nominee ONLY because he still lacks name recognition and that’s important. Assuming he’s not the nominee, I hope the GOP nominee will pick him for VP. If ANYONE tried to call him an Uncle Tom or an Oreo, Cain would put them in place so hard they’d still be digging out three weeks later! LOL!

Whew hew! Finally, getting the traction and name recognition he deserves. Been running a great campaign, even using all the new social media like FB; frequent updates, interesting messages and points.

HERMAN CAIN; a man who understands how to get things DONE.
