AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Perry did not fight the super highway...he embraced it and ran hard for it. Property rights be damned!
Okay, then you’re another FReeper who couldn’t see any problem with Nebraska stating that they were going to start castrating every white male at birth.
Good to know.
guess who tweeted that gem?
He actually introduced the plan. It was his baby from start to finish. He only gave up in the spring of 2010.
A sure sign of a liberal who has lost a debate.
Thanks for the affirmation! lol!
A 'dumbass' (you) would not recognize that RINO Rick didnt anticipate the tension his Fine with gay marriage comment would cause with the conservative base, which he could have defused by mentioning his support for an amendment straightaway. Theres nothing necessarily inconsistent in that position. But RINO Rick has completely backpedaled on his original position, a sure sign he can and will pander to any group, just as he has pandered to ILLEGALs, Muslims and liberal morons like you.
“Whats half the story. Thats the same excuse obama used.”
I see so then the day you and I agree on something, I’ll be wrong.
RE: Okay, then youre another FReeper who couldnt see any problem with Nebraska stating that they were going to start castrating every white male at birth.
Nice straw man. A bit obvious and over the top though.
Get an intellect.
He is not for Gay Marriage. He is for States Rights. What a silly attempt to try to paint him that way.
(FYI to everyone: Canada has no such thing. If the Constitution of Canada is silent with respect to a power, it defaults to the federal level. Criminal law is at the federal level too.)
Whack-A-Temp would be much more fun if I didn’t truly believe he had already been hit on the head one time too many.
Jeff Davis wasn't for slavery. He was for States Rights!
I agree with that. Her logic is right up their with rabid liberal democrats.....
Not quite. He was in a lose/lose situation. Where is I69 now?
I hear a rumor that Perry and Obama both have 5 fingers on each hand....a trait shared by many trilateralists, bildeburgers, CFR's, and neo nazi sympathizers...and OMG! Algore himself!!!
Wouldn’t that kind of assault be a Constitutional issue?
Actually it's not just a 'majority'. A proposed amendment becomes part of the Constitution as soon as it is ratified by 3/4 of the States (38 of 50). And it is entirely inconsistent for Slick Rick to have said he was "Fine" with NY's law and then, upon realizing how that is antithetical to the ideals of the conservative base, change that position and say he would support a constitutional amendment to support said ban.
You can try to spin that any way you want but you will only make yourself look foolish.
Mmmm....Palin?
What's the difference between Perry and Obama?
Perry actually worked for Gore.
Where are you getting your info?
