I really hoped I wouldn’t see this day so soon. He really is a visionary and his ability to create has changed our world in so many ways. I will be praying for him!

The guy’s only 56, and he’s about to buy the farm. Sad...

I am typing this from my iPhone right now. He has done so much for the company and I hope his health improves so he can come back, although it doesn’t look good.

iPhone is my first apple device. And, his innovation and vision for user experience are forever etched into my life. Feel very sad reading this news as it means his end may be nearer than ever before.

Jobs has made a huge impact and will be missed.

Will Woz ever come back?

I am not sure what he has been up to lately.

Pancreatic cancer is the worst. My prayers are extended for Steve Jobs and his family. Here's a very short excerpt of some newly added paragraphs from Reuters:

" ...Apple shares were suspended from trade before the announcement. They had gained 0.7 percent to close at $376.18.

The pancreatic cancer survivor and industry icon, who has been on medical leave for an undisclosed condition since January 17, will be replaced by COO and longtime heir apparent Tim Cook..."

End excerpt. Read the rest of the story Steve Jobs resigns from Apple, Cook becomes CEO

Gonna go out on a limb here, but I think that the new CEO Tim Cook really knows what he’s doing.

The sweet victory Jobs has, is the absolutely incredible success of Apple. Gates stole his ideas and propelled Microsoft into what it is today. To get a great lesson in what happen find the movie, 'Pirates of the Silicon Valley'.

I've always 'pulled' for Jobs just because of the crap that was thrown his way. He's a lib...but there's plenty of us 'conservatives' that pulled for him through the years. I did hear he was put into another slot in the company today. Something like the Chairman...can't remember exactly but it's a position that, if he gets well, he could do something with.

Thanks Steve, you made my transition into the personal computer very easy. Could never understand why you leaned to the left, though. You embody all that we conservatives stand for, fiscally.

I feel sorry for him. I have watched my patients with pancreatic cancer die. It is terrible. Money can not buy you health or happiness. I really am sad. But no more sad for him than the guy who works for Tyson for 10.00 that I took care of that died of the same disease. It is terrible.
