Didn’t feel a thing in L.A. (for once).
Funny how the East Coast people are having puppies over this.
Well, I bet their buildings aren’t built to withstand earthquakes. And of course everything is relative. Depends on what you’re used to.
Bama was on the golf course!

That’s because our buildings aren’t built to WITHSTAND quakes!
I hate it when you Californians get all uppity over quakes. How about if we send you some hurricanes and tornadoes?

Just wait until LA gets a tornado or a hurricane or an ice storm.
THEN we’ll see who has puppies!

I was thinking the same think. But then again they probably dont have the earthquake building codes like we do out here on the west cost. A 5.9 out here would cause very light damage.
A little difference in reaction when you’re dealing with folks who have never felt one before - especially with the entire seaboard not being built to withstand a heavy earthquake... I don’t blame them for being freaked out.
From what I hear the folks at the Pentagon thought it was a bomb or something... Also, my friend on VA Beach got a Tsunami warning and evacuated a bit ago.
I understand Californians brushing this off, but what may be minor to you guys, isn’t necessarily minor for those on the East Coast... It’s kind of like how schools NEVER seem to close up here in N. WI even when there’s 5 ft. of snow but, go to Tennessee and the schools close early when there’s only a TRACE of snow on the roads...
Dear West Coasters: When you can get 1” snowfall and not have a 197 car pileup, then we can talk about overreacting to earthquakes.

Embarrassing, actually!!
Bet they didn't even know proper Quake protocol and start a "what your guess on the Richter scale" pool
