Dear West Coasters: When you can get 1” snowfall and not have a 197 car pileup, then we can talk about overreacting to earthquakes.

That made me laugh out loud. Having lived in California during 5.5 quakes, I know they are no big deal—OUT THERE, but honestly I felt this one 450 miles away.

People in California routinely drive off the freeway when it rains. I’d see it happen every first winter rain of the winter.

Dear East Coasters,

When you get a couple feet of snow you call out the National Guard and call it a disaster. Us West Coasters routinely get as much as five feet of snow in a snowstorm and we don’t even close the roads. FYI, this last year we had 17.2 FEET of snow in the Sierra Mountains and we’ve had single storms that have dropped fourteen feet of snow and we call that a good reason to get out the snowboards.

LOL. But we can’t drive in the snow either. :)

Was in a garage, but with two story cinderblock walls. The top few feet of the walls were waving left to right and the rafters were shifting along. At first I thought a truck was going by till I saw the walls moving.

Then the real floor shimmer got myself and my friend finally moving out of the building and not just dazing in bewilderment at the moving walls. But while watching those walls for those few seconds, I could not help wondering if I did take that hit of acid that one night.
